Collector’s Legacy Rules!
My idea for this challenge developed alongside my aspiration of completing all of the main collections in The Sims 4.
The overall objective is that each generation has its own collection to complete, along with extra challenges, until the end; when you are ultimately left with a museum full of objects and a graveyard full of sims.
I have written this challenge ‘base game-friendly’, so you can play no matter what DLC you own. DLC required for an objective will be in brackets.
I welcome extra ideas, screenshots and links to people’s videos of this challenge, part of the fun of making this challenge is seeing what you will do with it!
Move your chosen sim onto any empty lot, you may start with 20,000 simoleons or if you want to be more extreme you can start with 5000.
You can turn aging off if you want to.
You can have as many children as there is space in the household. (No limit per generation)
You can choose which sim is the heir.
The heir must move out when they reach young adulthood, unless it states otherwise.
Each heir receives 5000 simoleons when they move out. You must use the Money X cheat to set to 5000. No other money cheats allowed.
The heir must move onto an empty plot of land. You can bulldoze a lot if need be (except in generation three).
Aim to complete the collection and objective before moving on.
Unless specified, traits and aspirations can be chosen and swapped during the generation played.
If your sims collect items not in their generations collection list, they must sell them. Passing on to other generations is not allowed.
When each generation is complete, move the objects to a ‘museum’. How ever you do this is totally up to you. (One idea is to buy a retail lot that you pass down to each heir when they reach young adulthood. This way, the items can be put into the lot and you can add a gift shop or cafe for the retail part of it.)
Lastly and most importantly; have fun, tell stories, evoke tragedy, celebrate success, live!
