The next generation of My Little Pony has been announced : My Little Pony Forever Friendship is scheduled for early 2027!🩷✨
Personally, I think it sounds promising. My only concern is the fact that they are scheduling it for a bi-weekly release of 9 minute long episodes. But aside from that, Forever Friendship seems endearing, colorful, magical and fresh, in the sense that it promises magical adventures and heartfelt moments and relationships, as well as a love letter to mlp as a franchise, but still being something new and original. I like the fact that while it does honor older mlp generations, especially FIM, G6 aims to be its own thing, taking place in its own world with no direct connections to older generations 🥰
G6 seems promising, and I will definitely check it out in 2027 - and make sure to give it a real chance, judge it for what it is, and let g4 remain in our hearts while giving new generations a proper chance without comparing it to earlier generations. The story of the main 6 is done, and while we do miss them and would enjoy more content from that world, it’d be a shame to continuously milk the success of that generation to the point where we almost refuse to let anything new exist ❤️ Instead, go back and rewatch your favorite episodes of FIM, but welcome new generations as they are : A NEW generation 🫶🏻✨
