depression
to me this is what depression is, a life long battle, that can elevate you or suppress you, inspire you or even kill you on the inside, every day is a battle thats a 100 wins and a 1000 loses, its like a giant raging storm that comes, and removes colour and warmth from are world, but leaves a silver layer of reflections to are world and beautiful rainbows, and then a moment later it can come back and wash it all away again like it never existed, this is the power of depression, to be able to inspire as well as destroy who it infects, and supply you with the depressed empathy and love for people.
Is Facebook making us sad ???
(Before we start ill like to state that I have asparagus and dyslexia so spelling etc could be a issue, as always if you want to tidy it up and repost it please do.)
Facebook we all have it, on are phone on are pc on are tablets, you name it it is everywhere, conversation, on the toilet, in the park, at work. There is not a point in are life where Facebook will not be accessible in are life in this day of age.
But the question is what has it done to are society ? has it been good, yes in some ways and this inst just being written to sanitize Facebook at all, great for business as well as family and communication but what I find it effects a lot more is the younger culture of 28 downwards, all the kids who grew up with Facebook and joined it in the early days.
Everyone on it is always posting, xmas, party, there animals, trends, tattoo you name it its on there, reposting cute things whatever we all do it, but in the end what is it leading to ?
No one’s profile is a true representation of them self, only the best photos of you will go up, i no people that edit there’s hevaly to make them self look more beautiful even though they are, but due to negativity they feel they shall get they do it to safeguard, then on top of this they try best as they can to keep posting actively to show there life is busy and they are what people call a ‘life’ but what is a life today, to many people it is said to be one with a set list of things ‘job, money, car, house’ etc etc but do these really give you a life, is posting all this on Facebook really what needed to make you happy, I feel today the appreciation of life has diminished to much, people just cant be thankful for the gift of life its self, i mean think about it for a minute, right now you are ALIVE, you are breathing thinking feeling machine, you crave the feeling of happiness like you do any food or water, you require social communication like any animal in the psychical form, yet why do we live file are lifes and make theme so cocooned in a digital synthetic way, you cant take any of it away with you ?
Facebook ultimately to me has turned into a role-playing game, where everyone presents there lifes in a alternative state, in the most positive way they can competing against other peoples lifes seeing who has the most happiness, but if we are all busy posting are happiness are we not missing the whole point of the experiences we are posting onto Facebook in the first place.
I see it all the time people at concerts and clubs just recording the whole night watching it through there phones, if thats what you wanted to do then just youtube it the day after and save your time and money ? Why do we all feel this need to show the world we are doing ‘something’ instead of ‘nothing’
I have never seen a church or a holy man post a selfie when they help someone in need to a great extent, i dont see home’s for homeless people posting the good will they give to people, and when someone does help a homeless man or a child they dont post a photo or video of this they write a little post about how ‘good’ it felt as if its some life achievement they have to do every once in a while, when the fact is the routine of helping people should be second nature as much as we have to get up every mourning.
Beyond this i believe that Facebook as socially damaged are culture in the world, people now struggle to talk face to face, lack of communication skills and understating of body language, people spend so much time talking in a synthetic way # this # that lol yolo, i even find the complexities of language and sense of higherarky is going down hill.
I no there is good on Facebook and alot of it but its also got its huge people, and its a problem we cant remove, we are all addicted to facebook like a drug which is why i kinda like tumblur, find its more peaceful on here little space away from where where i can rant about all this stuff, but anyway i got to get back to Facebook now and upload a picture of my cat doing a handstand. lol
