Three pictures from the areas of Al Bajraweiya. An area were some of the oldest pyramids can be found.

Some of the ancient sculptures have been destroyed by westernerns, which can be seen in the first picture. The second picture is a photo I took of one of the guardians of the area. A simple sudanese man who made it his goal to protect the area.

The pyramids of Al Bajraweiya, Sudan in formation. Note that these are some of the worlds oldest pyramids.

Some of the worlds oldest pyramids are situated in modern day Sudan and last winter I went to see them for myself. Most of them have been destroyed by the Italians who blew the tops up inorder to steal the gold inside.  The other photos are people we met during the long drive to the pyramids of Al Bajraweiya, Sudan.
