How to swat a mosquito
How to swat a mosquito (Or any earthly adversary)
The first thing to accept is the importance of your attitude. Each mosquito carries all her grandmothers stories in her bones. She can smell when your fear boils anger She knows when to breed a batch of fury to keep her unwilling to return to the earth.
You must always remain playful. Make plain the rules of the game, but never tell her the stakes. Never admit when you miss, Just wink and say it was a warning. Dance, and try to remember that there is nothing that is not dancing.
Everything will go smoother if neither of you pretend you have anything to lose that you would not lose eventually.
The second thing to accept is that you are the mosquito. You are formed from the same stuff, your atoms are about the same age and have the same lifespan. You share a common ancestor, though her kind has been here longer. You both covet the same blood. This is why she wants you, and why you can touch her at all.
The third thing to accept is that the mosquito is better than you. She follows the waft of your rising breath and plucks at the warmest places subterranean veins shine through to her like gold to the douser Her nose is a surgeon’s jackknife, all bristling with saws, knives, tweezers and straws.
oh, and
She can FLY.
She can fly Faster than you can Think.
So you may ask what hope you have against such a predator And I say that you have but one:
You must be better than yourself. You must move faster than you can think.
and The way to do this is to Focus and Hover your hand stiff like a bough and Do not move it with your mind, but Let it BECOME the space where the mosquito was. for You do not generate the force of becoming, It is the force that becomes you, It is the same well that the mosquito draws from. But You must draw deeper. You must more fully embody the becoming,
Deeper than the mosquito,
Deeper than yourself.

I am a conduit of will, I am an arbiter of care. Let me love and learn from each moment as if it were the beloved, as if I were the beloved. Materials are not separate, how can I say that Will and Care do not have a common origin? Let me see every consciousness as if it were a part of me.

Piano notes made visible for the first time
Music is beautiful isn’t it? The team at CymaScope visualized the dynamic sounds of the piano’s first strike and the eventual plateau and decay phase of different notes. You can listen to the sounds here and watch as the geometric shapes come to life.
Here is a list of the geometric glyphs for each note
