For the past couple of months I’ve been off of tumblr but that doesn’t meant that I haven’t seen things that are posted or come across the odd screen shot every now and then. And to be honest it’s blowing me away. Everyone is so mean to people who aren’t considered oppressed. Like, if you’re white, cis-gendered, or heterosexual you’re suddenly Satan himself and deserve to be wiped off the face of the earth. There are people who say their triggers are heterosexuality, cis-gendered people, fucking SLEEP. There are people on here who ‘self-diagnose’ themselves with severe mental disorders, and not just one, but maybe 6 or 7 at a time. Here’s a question I pose to these people: How the fuck are you alive? If you can’t get through the day without coming across one of your triggers then how the fuck are you a living, breathing, functioning human being? 

To be clear, I’m not saying that triggers don’t exist. That is entirely not true nor what I am saying AT ALL. I just don’t understand how someone could take these mundane things and turn them into triggers. Isn’t that an insult to people who have actual triggers that are on the extreme side the spectrum?

I also think it’s kind of insane to completely hate a person just because they associate with the sex and gender they were assign to at birth. You don’t see me hating people just because they don’t. Right? So why should it be the other way around?

And to top is all off I would like to say something that I feel strongly about. Self diagnosis does not exist. It is not a thing and it never will be. You were not trained to spot out these illnesses and reading a Wikipedia page does not make you an expert. I have one thing to say to these people who believe in self diagnosis: If you truly believe that you may be suffering from these illnesses, please go see a certified professional. Get help. Live life to the fullest. Do it for yourself and do it for the people who you love and who love you. It is a heavy burden that not only you are carrying around, but also everyone around you. I know. I’ve been there, done that. 

To end this, this website is literally insane. It started out as something funny and nice for me to escape to when I was 16 years old and struggling with life and all it’s hardships. Now it’s just a scary place where people are filled with hate and get offended by literally everything. And it makes me sad. I hope that one day the people of tumblr will come to their senses and it will be a happy escape for another 16 year old. I hope that one day people will be able to post whatever they want without being reprimand for using the words ‘boyfriend’ or ‘girlfriend’. Make tumblr great again.

“A Spanish mother has taken revenge on the man who raped her 13-year-old daughter at knifepoint by dousing him in petrol and setting him alight. He died of his injuries in hospital on Friday.

Study tip

Don’t be afraid to make your notes be funny. If writing stuff like “Priests weren’t supposed to have side hoes because God was their main hoe” helps you remember that Priests were banned from having concubines, then go ahead and write that shit. Live your life.
