The Wonderful Driftwood Carving of Nancy Tuttle

When I grew up  I left southern California and moved north. I found trees and forests and because I had moved to the coast, I also discovered DRIFTWOOD!  I’d never heard of such a thing….and all this beautiful wood free for the taking.  So I started carving little figures emerging from driftwood and immediately people wanted to buy them. I’ve been making my living as a woodcarver ever since (1986)!  I am extremely grateful to all who have afforded me the time to carve.  It’s a lot of fun and of course ALOT of hard work but I can’t think of a better way to  “whittle away” my time.
