Candice had never paid much attention to the cold. Being from Snowpoint, it was something she had been quite used to. And in all honesty, Chirchester’s weather didn’t really bother her, as she was trying to see how her Pokemon would do against the Pokemon from Galar and all that, since it was a new region with climate that really did remind her of home.

So, when someone was asking if she was cold, she had to stop herself from laughing. Because usually, if she was at home she would have. But she had to remember that she wasn’t a known face in this region, and she shouldn’t expect people to know her roots. So instead she just smiled, stepping back and shaking her head in response. 

“Oh no, I’m totally in my element here!” she exclaimed, gesturing for her Abomasnow to come closer, just so she could keep the large Pokemon from growing too fierce outside of Candice’s watch. “The town I come from is just like this, snow all year long! It’s really just a fashion choice to dress like this, yeah?” She seemed a bit confident in herself as she said it as well, still not seeming at all phased by Chirchester’s weather.

“I should probably introduce myself so this makes a bit more sense… My name is Candice,” she replied. “I’m Snowpoint City’s gym leader, which is all the way in Sinnoh!” Though she wasn’t sure if it was clear enough for Klara to completely understand her thought processes here, she stuck out a hand to shake. “And what about you? What’s your name?”

     Sinnoh?  She made a mental note to keep better track of gym leaders in other regions, almost feeling silly for not recognizing her.  Galar was well known for hyping up gym leaders to celebrity status, much more than any other region.  Klara didn’t take it personally.

     Her jacket was shrugged back onto her shoulders before Klara shook her hand with a smile.

     “ Oh, no way !  It’s so nice to meet you, I’m Klara, hoping to one day become a gym leader. “  She was sure to throw in that last part with a half-hearted laugh.  It seemed as though the gym leaders were getting younger and younger, dare she say it but standing next to Candice made her feel old.

     “ You know, you came to the right town.  I dunno if you’ve been around here before but Circhester has the best food, so if you’re tired from training and your pokemon wanna take a break, I could take you to go grab something to eat ?  My treat, only if you tell me about your time as a gym leader. “  Her light-hearted tease had weight to it that Klara wasn’t willing to admit.  

     As young as this girl may be, she still had something Klara wanted.

He hated this island. He hated this island so desperately much. Some places it’s too humid, other times its too sandy. But if Opal told him to stay here, then here he will stay until further notice. He was currently picking sand out of his hair and staring at the ocean. Enough to make one fear the ocean- but Bede refuses to be afraid of anything. He was the elite, he had nothing to fear. He looked over to see a pink haired woman talking to him. He had no idea who she was. He had no idea her dreams were robbed from her to simply be given to him out of the blue.

“Hello,” Bede said, folding his arms and turning to her. Wind beaten cheeks were pinker than usual today, and his purple eyes squinted at Klara at the hearing of the word ‘kiddo.’ Even if he was technically a child, and she was clearly trying to be friendly- Bede hardly considers himself a boy. He’s been taken care of himself his whole life- surely that speaks much more than mere age. “Perhaps there are, but I assure you, my dear Hatterene is much scarier. I’ve been training to be the best trainer in Galar since I was plucked from the orphanage at 7 years old- that means I’ve got quite a bit more experience under my belt than your average pre-teen. Plus, it will very soon be common knowledge that I’m a cut above the other gym leaders out here- as I have the best gym leader to ever walk this region as my mentor. I’m plenty capable.”

This puffball certainly talks a big game.

     He didn’t have to open up to her like that, and frankly she wished he hadn’t.

     Play it off with a little giggle, hands curled around her face in awe.  Just act impressed, give this little kid what he wanted so badly.  But only for a second, she couldn’t let his ego surpass her own.

     “ Haha !  Sure thing, buddy.  But you haven’t aged much since seven... maybe by a year ?  Whatever, maybe you’re just not experienced enough to train here yet.  It would be just terrible to have a little kid like you running home to Ballonea crying. “

     There was something about him she couldn’t help but pity.  Part of her wanted to coddle him, encourage him to go back home to spare him the dangers of this island.  But the aspiring gym-leader inside her wanted to prove herself to him.  Show him that he was just some kid, unworthy of holding that title she wanted so desperately.

   Careful not to expose her true intentions, she popped her hip and added, “ Big sis Klara would be more than happy to take you back home herself ! “

i’ve been MIA for a few days... sorry... gonna talk abt where i’ve been & what i’m gonna do with this blog under the cut

ok soooo mentally?  i’m really not doing the best.  i’m trying to recover and work on myself right now because i messed up and thats okay!  its okay to mess up as long as you admit it and work on it so it doesn’t happen again, it’s taking longer than i want it to so i’m just a little frustrated but i’ll be better soon

i’m also going to turn this blog into a multi-muse blog !  i have eight muses in mind (including klara) & they’re all pokemon women + one pokemon oc (her name is elsie and she is my pride and joy).

i’m super duper excited for it because i’ve roleplayed them all before (except one) and i’ve always switched back and forth between them, seeing as a lot of people have multi-muse blogs it inspired me to put them all in one place so i don’t feel the need to switch around so much !!!

i’ve been spending a lot of time on their muse pages as well as trying to cope, so sorry for not responding to anybody i just needed some nia time.  i’m almost done with the muse page, after that i have to start making icons so that will also take up a little chunk of my time but by then i should be ready enough to respond to threads
