i will never not cry at this scene
impaled.
“I assure you, Your Grace, you are doing everything in your power. I know you must be tired but–” The sudden crackling of lightening enforced what Impa already knew to be true. Demise, the evil beast was tearing his chains off faster than the pair could put on another set– no, she mustn’t dwell on musky thoughts- They must succeed. She would not lose hope in the Goddess… or the boy who she seemed to have so much faith in, “we have no time to rest, we must journey to the second Gate of Time immediately.”
“No, Impa -- don’t worry about me. I will be fine even without rest. There are things you and I must do here while Link keeps our enemies at bay in the present...” She feels strange having stepped into the Temple of Time from ages past; a strange sense of nostalgia brews within her and she silently realizes those feelings may not belong to ‘Zelda.’ She simultaneously feels out of place and right at home. She realizes there’s no time to interpret her feelings as she nods to Impa -- the second Gate lies in what she knows as the Sealed Grounds. They must make haste; they have no other option. “Let’s be off, then. Though the world from this era bears a striking resemblance to my own, so much has changed... My memories alone are not enough to guide me. I’ll be counting on you to lead the way.”
“Please, Impa. Come back with us.”
wildhearteds.
― He starts, wholly unexpecting to hear a VOICE calling from the ruined temple. He peers in through a long since shattered window, looking for the source. Inside, he sees a young, blonde woman standing at attention below the statue of the Goddess. There is something so painfully familiar about her, and, as he has no recollection of her, Link wonders if he had known her a century prior. It❜s u n l i k e l y, given her apparent age, but he supposes the last person he had spoken to in this location had been a GHOST. Perhaps she is the same.
He vaults himself through the window, and slowly approaches the steps to the altar upon which she and multiple figures of the Goddess stand. S u n l i g h t is cast down upon her and the statues, creating a near-ethereal light, and he is suddenly STRUCK by memories. There is something about her that reminds him so very much of Princess Zelda, and he feels as though he should kneel before her as he once did the princess. Instead, he merely stares, delicate blues carrying an odd mix of recognition and confusion.
The warm sunlight pouring into the Temple lights his figure as he draws near, and her blue eyes soften as she finds a face that seems so very familiar. Her heart is muddled with disbelief, and her bewilderment only builds as she meets a pair of eyes that remind her of her beloved sky.
“Link -- ?” The name slips from her lips before she can realize it -- he looks so similar to her childhood friend, the Chosen Hero, that it startles her, and yet when she looks closer she realizes this isn’t the person she grew up beside. The differences are small, but numerous, and yet she somehow can’t shake the feeling that he is no stranger. She wonders if that is because his likeness is so familiar to her, or if the blessings bestowed upon her by Nayru are offering her guidance -- some form of intuition?
"No. That can’t be...” She speaks softly, her words more for herself than him, as her hands draw together. ( Her mind whispers back that fate has a way of drawing their souls together time and time again. )

❛ Oh no, I am s l a i n – how ever will I survive such a s i c k beat❜
“And that’s how the world was saved, everyone -- some crazy smooth jams. Buy my album and a t-shirt on your way out... all proceeds go to the Save the Kikwis fund...”
iniquitoussabre replied to your post: I’m still cracking up over the idea of zelda...
youtu.be/xF7itA6…
"Hah! How do you like that? This is the true power handed down to me by the Goddess!!”
I’m still cracking up over the idea of zelda strumming her harp like an electric guitar??? ‘evil doesn’t stand a chance against these sick jams, listen up...’ I’m sorry it’s just so funny hweogwp
@integritybound has been found in town
“Excuse me! May I speak to you for a moment?” She calls out to what appears to be a friendly face, though she cannot be certain of anything in the world she has found herself in -- she attracts stares due to her manner of dress, and likely her ears as she has noticed herself to be the only one whose ears are pointed. If the situation in her world were not so dire, she would take the opportunity to learn about the new world, but there are things she simply must do. Her people are in danger -- !!
@wildhearteds is near the Temple of Time.
All it takes is an instant and she can sense something is wrong. The Temple she wakes in is in ruins, and the Gate she passed through no where to be seen. Her chest trembles and it feels as if her soul itself is calling out to her -- warning her that there is an Evil roaming in this land. Was she in the past, or perhaps, the distant future...?
She stays put below the statue of the Goddess until she hears a rustle from outside the broken windows. She stands, at once alert but not yet fearful. Her voice does not waver when she speaks. “Is someone there?”
@noneheard has not yet been noticed!
The last thing she recalls is stepping into the Gate of Time, but when she wakes in this new world it is clear to her she is not in the past -- at the very least, not the past she intended to reach. Her white garb has dirtied from her position on the ground, but she pays it little mind as she rises to inspect her surroundings. She turns to find she is without her beloved guardian, as well as her harp. “It seems... I’m alone, then.”
@impaled is accompanying the SPIRIT MAIDEN.
“Impa, are you alright? That was a close one...” The hordes of enemies that come their way seem ever increasing -- a sure sign that the revival of the darkness known as ‘Demise’ is drawing nigh. Memories of her time as the Goddess flow steadily into her mind, but she knows little good will come of knowledge alone -- they must act. “I’m sorry to have to leave all the fighting to you... If only I could do more...”
okay like for a starter! they will be short as I get into the groove again, you know? it’s been a while since I’ve written this goddess reborn !!
