Vanessa pouted up at him then. She took the pencil from him and stuck out her tongue before leaning forward and starting to draw, humming as she did. She missed her paint set. They hadn’t let her paint in too long. She rubbed her eyes with one hand then dropped the pencil after roughly sketching Emrys’ face. She leaned back next to him and beamed. “You’re better at ittttt.” She said in a sing-song voice.
Emrys looked at her drawing as she did it and raised a brow. "Hmm, not sure about that," he replied and gave her a smile. "This one is going to go up there all of the rest," he responded and looked over at the wall, exhaling slowly. He licked his lips and rubbed the back of his neck as there was a loud bang from somewhere in the building. It made him jump and shift against the wall.
