The lie: The cauldron chose Lucien and Elain wrongly because it’s corrupt.
The truth: The Daglan/Asteri didn’t corrupt the Caldron into choosing wrong mates. They corrupted the cauldron by turning it into a kill switch that would create a black hole, and destroy the world. That’s why Rhys and Feyre had to heal it when it broken in ACOWAR.
The Antis, or as I like to call them —people who can’t admit they’re wrong —are using this quote to try to prove their false narrative : "The Cauldron was of our world, our heritage. But upon arriving here, the Daglan captured it and used their powers to warp it. To turn it from what it had been into something deadlier. No longer just a tool of creation, but of destruction." -HOFAS
They are completely ignoring that the, “something deadlier. No longer just a tool of creation, but of destruction", is a fucking black hole kill switch!
“Those of us who ventured here found ways to amplify that power, thanks to the gifts of the land. We pooled our power, and imbued those gifts into the Cauldron so that it would work our will.”
Solas. "So destroy the Cauldron..."
"And you destroy this world. One cannot exist without the other." -HOFAS
‘It was a hole. Airless. No life could exist here. (Void)
No light.
It was ... it was what had existed at the beginning. Before all things had exploded from it.’ - ACOWAR
‘Wasn't that the unholy power that Apollion possessed? The power of the Void. The antithesis of light.
The only thing that could kill a planet in one bite. Destroy the Asteri, and Midgard with them.
The Asteri knew it as well-they'd always known it, and employed it for their kill switch, to be activated upon destruction of the firstlight core.
So she'd met their black hole with one of her own. A bigger one. A black hole—a void— to eat other black holes.’ - HOFAS
Sorry, your “theory” that the cauldron choose wrong… well, it’s wrong. I’d say good try, but it really wasn’t.
The idea that the Daglan/Asteri actually want to screw with people’s love lives, so they made bad mates, is laughable.
They aren’t the production team for some bad reality show. 🤣
In conversing with elriels, I have concluded that they developed their theories based off of personal connotations they have with certain words. Their theories about azriel's shadows, their theories about sunlight equaling hope and not Court. And their theories based off of the word corrupted means whatever else they want to apply to that that could also be a corrupted. They have a very loose interpretation of the text.
