Waiting. But not in vain.

God, knowing our weaknesses and vulnerability, often chooses to lead us via a longer route so we can learn to trust Him more. We hesitate to embrace the next thing and move forward. God knows that. Even as we’re surrendering, we vacillate with uncertainty. Can I really trust God? The what ifs become louder and louder. He knows our fears, doubts, and hesitations. He knows a longer route (aka, our next thing) will provide opportunities to experience Him and resolve our moving-forward issues. He uses our next thing to build a faith bank of trust. -Wendy Pope

Flower Power

As a child, I don't quite get the older ladies' fascination with floral prints and flowery plants. What's there to admire? Then I grew older. I understand now how it feels to be charmed by the loveliness of these delicate and colorful creation of God. Looking at them is refreshing and calming.

Last December 2018, hubby and I (together with his family) visited Baguio, Benguet for a holiday vacation. We spent 9 chilly days in the Summer Capital of the Philippines (yep, that long!). 🌲

One of the places that I wanted to check out is the Botanical Garden as I wasn't able to go there during my trip with friends 10 years ago. The name sparked an excitement in me--Garden. I even "dressed" for the occasion.

This loner waterlily caught my attention. In a pond full of resembling liliypads is a bright colored flower that proudly stands out. See me there? 😉

I'm quite sure this sunshiney one is bumblebee's favorite. Spot the hidden busy bee. 🐝

This is one of my favorites. I like poinsettias very much and it's the first time I saw yellow versions.

Almost 3 years. What happened to my life so far since the last time I posted something here? Let's see...

My husband and I uprooted our lives from the metro and settled happily in a laid-back city-province. There were few challenges encountered as we reset our lives but mostly, the experiences as I would like to view them, were adventure-like and full of learnings.

Looking back, I'm glad and thankful that we took a leap of faith. Others may see it as going backwards but I see it as giving myself a chance at inner peace.

I'm happier now, healthier (mind and body), and more at peace with myself.
