SR002: Polar Opposites // hEaDbAnD x Nappychan

Scenic Rhythms is a DIY cassette tape/cd label based here in my hometown of Chicago. What I love about Scenic Rhythms is that the aren't afraid to bring 2 people with different styles together for a project. Hints: Polar Opposites. I love everything about this project. On one side the tape you have a dark abstract groove coming from Nappychan and the other side is ambient and soothing. If you haven't gotten your copy of the project I suggest you do so now because there are only 60 available. The cassette isn't dying and Scenic RHythms is among an elite group keeping it alive.

oh TEEBS!

His new project just based off this one song is going to be spectacular! "View Point" definitely gives you an insight to where he is musically and you can tell it's a very Zenful and peaceful place. The track is exotic and ambiently beautiful. A lot of textures for the ears to enjoy. Kudos to TEEBS for this one and letting us see his View Point.

Peaking – Dragonfruit (Sleepyeyes x Peaking) Collab This probably has to be the warmest heartfelt track I’ve heard all week. It sends you to a place that makes you want to press replay and say ‘hold up! That’s my jam!” Peaking and Sleepyeyes’ tag team on this track is magnificent. Kudos to you guys for this! -1 love. So I’m sitting back in Chick-fil-a on a cold day in Chicago and came across hEaDbAnD’s new EP “dELuSiONaL”. I got excited just from the first track. His use of intricate samples and play on off beat snares are phenomenal. It’s such a warm project and beautifully engineered by an awesome musical connoisseur. Great tunes to warm you up on a 30 degree day in the windy city. Big ups to hEaDbAnD for this one

Just a little history

I just started this blog today. I'm into all genre's however, hip-hop, neo-soul, and electronica are the ones that embody a movement of purity. (Well at least the people that i listen to embody that for me.) This blog is just to showcase and let people know about other artists. TuMi is bring some strong jazz vibes to this track produced by Melodiesinfonie. She makes me wanna answer the question. She can sing this song to me all day. I'm in a daze just listening to her gracefully glide over this track.

Ghetto Blasting = pure 90's. Illaphant brings a smooth flow and tight rhymes to this magical track. As well as the other two artist featured on the track. Put this on your phone or ipod and blast this while you're driving down Lake Shore.

CRAIG MACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Sick with the 90's feel. Jeff Tha Chef is too cool for this track. Keeping true to the rest of his EP "Dr. Squires" He brings this authenticity that makes you feel like you're back in the 90's. I'll come & get down with the duece let me know when the next duece party is!

Smooth and flawless. Solarr is making my head spin. The sample "Makes life easy" compliments the track very well. Cause if i could have seen him create this piece it probably would have came off as you make this look so easy.

Chromadadata has taken me back with this one. It gives me such a warming feeling everytime i listen to it. The chill vibes that are given off in this piece just make you want to light one up and paint or something. lol. He really makes you bob your head to this one.

Fresh upcoming artist from Chicago (Emulated Sounds Hometown) iNDiG0 HiGH is bringing sexy to the city. Beautiful harmonies cascade through this track that fills your soundwaves with rich soothing sounds from this young singers voice.
