“That column is something else, eh?”
“I respect you for not caring,” she said.
lionheart-os:
osric had been passing by when he overheard the conversation between that slytherin girl and the others from her table, but as a good gryffindor, he could not ignore. “all slytherins have an ego about everything, that’s why you’re so f**cking annoying…” he stopped for a second, pressing his lips against each other as he looked at the students at the table. “well, until next time!” he added. a few gryffindors near by started laughing about his joke, and he hoped the slytherins would take it as a joke too, although he wouldn’t mind a good fight.
She had raised her fork for another bite of food and froze to listen to his comment. Her friends were, too, in shock. But Emmeline put her fork down and twisted her torso to face where he was walking.
“Not much better to be an instigator,” she said. “We all have our flaws, but at least mine isn’t being an insufferable attention seeker.”

“Who cares about the gossip column? Honestly…”

“It’s hard not to when some people might actually take it seriously,” she said.

Most admirable quality: His undying loyalty to what he believes in.Most attractive physical feature: His humorous personality. Most annoying habit: N/ASomething they would like to do with them: Get drinks at Hogs Head and just see where the conversation goes.
Emma
“Hmm, what do I like most about Emma Vanity, you ask?”
Most admirable quality: I absolutely adore Emma’s sense of adventure past the walls of Hogwarts. It is incredibly admirable that she has the guts and drive to pack up and just go. Don’t ask me how I feel about it, though. It won’t be such a nice answer.
Most attractive physical feature: Her hair is a gorgeous rich brown colour.
Most annoying habit: Wanting to run away.
Something they would like to do with them: Honestly, I would just like to stay close friends with her for as long as humanly possible. I feel as though we are quite different and it’s a very good balance.

“All I’m saying is that that silly gossip column said I have an ego about my grades. Intelligence is certainly attractive, but a me, an ego? Rubbish.” Emmeline pushed her robe sleeve up to reach for more honey-glazed sweet potatoes at the Slytherin table in the Great Hall.
Neither dinner nor lunch were being held, but food sounded like a better idea than staring into blank space in the library.
dorathecourageous:
“ Well you see, I heard that Fairies supposedly live in bushes like these, so I’ve spend the last few days looking for them. Sadly they don’t seem to want to talk to me.” She said with a small frown.
Emmeline slowly nodded along, listening intently. “Maybe fairies are only seen by children? They are typically only in children’s stories, you know.”
fab-uluhs:
after checking if there was nothing apart from books and pranking devices inside the bag, he closed it and sat down on the sheet, smiling as she decided to position herself closer to him. he then watched her as she took a look at the sandwiches, paying attention to which she was to choose to know her taste on those for the next time and admiring her beauty for a while, getting a bit distracted by it. “uhmm… if i had to pick… i’d say the one with bologna and cheese… but you can have that one if you want! i also love the turkey breasts one.” he replied as soon as he realized she’d asked him a question, although he honestly would eat any of the sandwiches since he just loved eating in general. “you can pick more than one if you can’t choose too.” fabian added, leaning back on his hands.
Emmeline noticed him staring at her and she smiled. “Well then here,” she said, handing him both sandwiches of bologna and turkey. I’m not picky.” She sifted through the rest of the sandwiches and found a ham one.
Unwrapping the sandwich from its plastic holding, Emmeline took a bite and smiled in bliss. “You are a true sandwich artist,” she said, putting a hand on his. “Thank you for this. I really needed it.”
mallory-pom:
“Exactly!” Mallory exclaimed, smiling brightly. “No, no. An all around winter girl for sure. I love the snow and as weird as it sounds I really like being cold.” The girl replied with a shrug. “I don’t know why. It just makes me happier than summer or spring.”
“I see, I see,” Emmeline said, readjusting her legs to a more comfortable position as her feet began to fall asleep. “I think autumn works best with my aesthetic,” she said. “But I secretly enjoy spring the most. I just don’t look like it.”
mallory-pom:
“It’s not my favorite either. I used to be so in love with the stars but grading me on them has taken away the magic. And that’s saying a lot considering where we go to school.” She raised her brows playfully. “It is, I love the slight chill. I’m very much a cold weather girl but I’ll accept thing spring breeze, only at night though.”
Emmeline scoffed at her words. “Much like how I hear Divination is like,” she said. “Grading on non-concrete answers just seems ridiculous. Definitely restrict free thought, if you ask me.” She took a deep sigh, feeling herself relax in the moonlight and her body settle into the concrete underneath her. “So a summer in the day, spring at night girl, then?”
mallory-pom:
Mallory was charmed by the girl and laughed at her words. “Yeah, of course you can.” She said nodding after giving the question some thought. The girl patted the spot next to her in the middle of her set-up. “It’s really siren to just completely clear your head and look at the stars.”
Emmeline put her bag on the ground and plopped down in the spot next to Mallory. “I don’t particularly like Astronomy class very much, but the material is quite interesting. Which just makes being up here at night better. The weather is also perfect for something like this.”
fab-uluhs:
fabian was usually the person to first give the idea of skipping classes in relationships, being them friendships or when hanging out with his siblings, so hearing her ask that made him a bit happier than he should’ve been. “i’d never do that, but since it’s you asking me to do that, i guess i’ll have to…” the redhead joked, although he pretended for a little longer to be upset with the idea, allowing a short sigh to leave his mouth. as his eyes finally met hers again, however, a smile grew bigger and then came the chuckling. “yes, i’d love to spend this afternoon here with you.” he spoke, having set the sheet on the grass so they could sit. the boy then focused on emptying his bag from the variety of different sandwiches and sweets he’d stored in it for the occasion. “i didn’t know what you wanted in your sandwiches so i made a few…” he tried to explain. fabian didn’t want anything to go wrong, and when he had that mindset on he tended to overdo things a bit.
Emmeline’s smile grew across her face as he agreed to her plan. “Brilliant because I’ve had enough of potions for the week already,” she said, sighing. She readjusted herself onto the sheet once he put it down, and positioned herself close to him.
Each sandwich seemed to be slightly different from one another, as if he had thought of every combination available in the kitchens. “You really thought of everything,” she said, carefully inspecting one with white bread and an abundance of vegetables. “Which one is yours? Just so my choices can be narrowed down,” she said, laughing a little to herself.
fab-uluhs:
fabian’s eyes met hers as he felt the girl’s hands on his cheeks but he couldn’t believe a word she said, in his mind, it was his fault for allowing that to happen and for not protecting her from that or noticing anything before. “no. i’m glad you didn’t keep this from me… it’s something that i had to know, and that it’s my job to fix… my friendship with lucinda will never be more important than our relationship. nothing will ever be… not to me.” he replied with his hands going to meet hers and drag them away from his face to hold them. “i’ll talk to her. this won’t happen again.” he reassured her, certain of his own words for he now couldn’t forgive his friend for what she’d done to emmeline. “i’ll fix this, i swear.” fab added. the boy then leaned forward to land a peck on her lips and let go of her hands right after, still his cheeks a bit red from that previous act. fab left the bag he was carrying on the ground so he could open it and started preparing their picnic. “for now, just don’t worry anymore.”
She let out a deep sigh of relief and nodded a few times in assurance. “Thank you,” she said. “I truly appreciate you.”
Emmeline loved his kisses. They were inarguably her favorite things. How she felt getting them was inexplainable, and unexpected ones were the best. So, naturally she smiled when he leaned into her. Each time it happened, it made her want to be closer and closer to him.
She sat down on her knees, feeling the spring grass stick against her skin above her knee-high socks. “Want to skip our next classes and stay here?” she asked playfully, helping him unpack the basket.
mallory-pom:
“Oh stop laughing at me, meditation is supposed to be beneficial. All I did was turn a bit of the astronomy tower into my own make-shift meditation spot. See! There’s candles!”
“Oh! I absolutely was not laughing at you, of course not,” Emmeline said, finishing to ascend the stairs to the Tower. “I was just caught off guard at what a brilliant idea this is. It’s truly beautiful up here and quite peaceful. Would you mind if I join?”
fab-uluhs:
“well, there are not many differences between muggleborns, halfbloods and purebloods. all of us can cast spells and breed potions, right?” he replied, shrugging shortly. fabian was one of those who never agreed with the prejudice muggleborns had to go through in there, in his opinion, they could achieve as much as any other wizard or witch, they just weren’t born into that world, so they needed proper training. the redhead looked to the lake in front of them as he waited for an answer, and from there he was able to see the spot he’d talked to her about, in between two trees that would provide them with a light shadow. his gaze quickly went back to emmeline when she started talking.
the smile he had kept slowly faded as the words hit him. “she what?” he replied, not knowing what to say for he never thought something like that would happen. “why would she be jealous of our relationship? and why take it out on you?” he asked rhetorically in a mix of confusion, sadness and , shaking his head. “i’m so sorry… it must be my fault somehow…” it didn’t sound like the lucinda he had been friends with for a while now, and he couldn’t help but blame himself for whatever happened between them. to know a close friend of his had been attacking his girlfriend out of jealousy was a serious matter to him, something he could not let happen for any longer. “i’ll have a word with lucinda when i find her…”
As Fabian spoke, Emmeline followed his gaze to the spot he was looking at. She was about to settle down once they reached it, but looked back at him instead. Her bag slid off of her shoulder when she relaxed her shoulders after admitting what she had, but she caught it and gently lowered it onto the grass.
“No, no,” she started, taking his face into her hands. “Listen to me, this is not your fault. It’s not mine either. I don’t want anything to come between a friendship like yours. I’m sorry I brought it up.”
fab-uluhs:
“uhmm…” he stopped to think for a moment before answering the question she’d asked. “research for muggle studies! the differences between our cuisine and theirs. you know… for an assignment.” he replied, smiling at her. although most people did know he was responsible for most pranks and funny things that happened all over the castle, he would only admit it if in a safe location, far from prefects, professors and staff, and to her, even though she was a prefect herself - he knew he could trust her.
fabian was one of those persons who couldn’t enjoy silence, he found it quite boring, however, the boy didn’t mind the quiet as long as he was with her, and being close to her, holding hands, kept him happy and entertained during their walk to the place he’d found. at the sound of her voice, he turned to see her face, a light frown showing up on his features. “what is it?” he replied, a short smile still playing on his lips, although he was paying his full attention to what she had to say.
“That’s a very interesting project,” she said, smiling up at him. “I would love to know the results. Also I’m so proud of you for taking an interest in muggleborns.”
As they approached the lake, Emmeline took a deep breath. She knew the topic wasn’t detrimental, she was certainly not breaking up with him either. But she knew he and Lucinda were friends, and Emmeline didn’t particularly like speaking poorly or people. But he deserved to know. And a successful relationship began with communication, in her opinion.
“I know you’re friends with Lucinda, and that’s OK and all,” she started. “But I she’s... jealous of our relationship. And she takes it out on me.”
