PRINCESS TUTU AU, first and foremost, because Marine reminds me of all the kindhearted magical girl protags I've always loved (even though he fits plot-wise with Mytho, in terms of gathering bits of his soul in order to be whole again...)

The "rival with ideals opposite to the hero who also seems to know a worrying amount about them" trope always makes me froth at the mouth (Sonic and Shadow are to blame, obviously). The orphan versus the troubled prince with a mysterious past...the one who somehow knows his mother's sword techniques versus the one who was taught them originally...the calm, calculating sadist versus the open, emotional empath...I could go on but you get the idea. Every time Pearl is onscreen kicking ass I cheer

COMPLETE FANFICTION AT THIS POINT, you can tell a story has me whipped when I'm this hyped for the villain and the hero to meet...I'm so glad Marine's mom is scary as fuck and I can't wait for if/when that side comes out in Marine himself. I hope he gives Top Hat a devious right hook but I will be happy with anything, inevitably
