I love that the mentalist had an episode that felt entirely like an amnesia fic someone could have written at the time, lisbon spent all of it thinking 'how do I tell this man that his family getting murdered because he was being a little shit made him less of a little shit without sounding like an asshole?' and meanwhile jane was making math in his head on how they hadn't slept together yet, very self aware show, I'm loving it

The couch is such an important part of the show and is both a prop but also a home/safe space for Jane! I love how Jane not only finds it in Red Dawn 5x05 but asks for it as part of his terms in My Blue Heaven 6x09 and blackmails Fischer to get it back for 6x11. It's probably the only place Jane can actually sleep and has been witness to both angsty and sweet Jisbon scenes.
