Ava sipped on her coffee as she waited for Chance to arrive. It was time for them to exchange Christmas gifts. Normally Ava didn’t go to over board with the holidays and the whole gift giving thing but Chance was a huge and special part of her life, even if they were no longer together, and it was only fair. One of the reasons Ava hated giving gifts was because she never knew what to get people, even her own family. She always felt like she was giving people the wrong things and made for a lot of pressure. But every year she tried her best at making sure the important people in her life got a gift for the holidays. She smirked when Chance came into sight. “Hey you.” she bit her lip and crossed a leg over the other.

Despite what most people might think, Chance loved giving gifts to those he cared about. Sure, holidays like Valentines and Christmas weren’t really things back on The Isle, but birthdays were, so they had a little bit of experience. However, after years in Auradon, they still hadn’t gotten any better at it, and nine times out of ten, would still give an original artwork, or just something they liked or that reminded Chance of the recipient. However when it came to Ava, while they mostly stuck with that, they also felt weird if they didn’t give her something else too, and that made things difficult. Walking to their designated meeting place, they hoped they weren’t too late, but spotted her already waiting with coffee. Chance walked over with a sheepish smile, and a silent prayer that she’d like the gift, before leaning over to kiss her cheek. “Hey, sorry I’m a little late, the cats wouldn’t get off the thing.”
