Why why does Snape look like that 🏳️🏳️
i don’t know what this is exactly but here ya go, beginnings of an au idea for ootp (set up for severitus, no reveal of swm, snape kinda finds the horcrux in his head, implied lily messed with dark magic at one point)
“Potter,” Snape said suddenly. Harry was nearly to the door; he looked over his shoulder only to realize that Snape wasn’t looking at him at all, and instead was staring steadily at the wall. “Have you been removed from your relatives’ care?”
Harry felt his face burning. “No—sir,” he added hastily. He wanted to say more—but he wasn’t sure whether it would be in their defense or to their detriment. But it was Snape, and he’d been praying he hadn’t noticed, or cared, as he shuffled haphazardly through his memories—
Snape turned to look at him in the long, excruciating moment, his dark eyes hardened, his face unreadable. Harry did not know what passed between them, nor did he want to know. They hated one another, and anything less was a horrific breach of their typical interactions. Harry did not know if he could handle pity from him. He wanted nothing more than to disintegrate, or die, or sink rapidly through the floor.
For what it was worth, Snape didn’t seem to be capable of handling whatever he’d just drudged up into the open, either. In a split second, the moment was lost, and Snape was sneering again.
“Get out,” he said, and Harry didn’t need telling twice.
