Marina is team order because she’s been mind-controlled for the majority of her life and doesn’t realize it was wrong like most of the other octarians.
Ok ok, joking aside, I noticed in the final splatfest video that the salmonids were on the side of chaos, while the octarians were on the side of order. It was obvious Nintendo was planning something with Grizzco, but I have a feeling Kamabo Co. is gonna make a comeback as well. I also feel like the sides are related to the two companies as well, mostly due to the gear.
Team Chaos has a fishbone hat and a mohawk hat, which–this might be a coincidence–is similar to the salmonids. Team Order has a helmet and glasses, which look really high-tech and almost similar to octarian technology.
I have a feeling that this Splatfest is gonna be the deciding factor of whatever game is next to come, much like how the final Splatfest of the first game made Callie the final boss in the second game. Maybe whichever side wins might determine the world that the next game will be in? Like, if Chaos wins, maybe the world in the next game will be sorta “messed up” or without order, which may be because of the salmonids (as I think I read somewhere that the salmonids have attacked cities in Inkopolis before). Or if Order wins, maybe the world will be a perfect utopian society, but it’s being ruled by a corrupt government. Or maybe it’ll also effect the final boss. Who knows, these are just some theories because wow, I’m excited.
