Spent 5 hours at the cemetery. Which is crazy because I never would have thought I’d be at a cemetery at night. I don’t think I’ll be going for a while now. I’m glad his body has been laid to rest, but I know it isn’t him. I do know it’s the body that I hugged and laughed a smiled with. I’m missing my best friend a lot these holidays.

Love you friend. Wish I could have one more conversation with you.

For 28 years I’ve had the blessing to never experience tragedy. I’ve been able to keep everyone that I have. Yesterday morning the best friend I could ever ask for passed away in a motorcycle accident. I always thought working in hospice would help me cope with death. It doesn’t. Not when it’s a young life taken to soon. Not when it was the friend you texted all day and all night. The friend who was down to do anything with you. The friend who bought his ticket to Japan with you. I feel like a little piece of me left with him yesterday.

I love how my friends and I were like, “can’t believe we’re 28 going to a club to see t-pain, we are too old for this.”

We got to the club and decided the line was too long and we felt underdressed.

We ended up going downtown where we belong. Left the bathroom at one of the bars and there was 4 police officers going into the men’s bathroom. We left and came back and it was closed.

I then ended up spraining my ankle and am off of work for a week lol

So I guess we were too old for it.

But I had a blast! 😂
