A Wilhelmina Model from Castinghub
I’ve always wondered what it takes to become a model. Like you, I’ve seen the Victoria’s Secret shows and all of the fashion magazines that show very tall women, beautiful women on the cover, but I’ve always wondered what the criteria is for child models.
Obviously, there has to be some kind of cute factor, and with this picture of a young girl from Castinghub that got signed with Wilhelmina Philadelphia,
it seems that there is hope for many young children. You obviously have to have the talent and the patience to work in the entertainment industry (from what I’ve heard a lot of it is a waiting around for your cue) and drive, because you have to handle rejection. With that said, if this little girl is any indication, then I can’t wait to see what the next generation of models will be!
Paul Rudd as Ant Man
So the news is out, Paul Rudd will be playing Ant Man in the new Marvel Movie. While he is probably considered an unconventional choice for superhero material, Marvel said in a statement, “The casting of Rudd represents the actor that Marvel had long ago identified as its first choice to play Ant-Man,” the studio said in a statement, “continuing the studio’s desire to cast actors that bring several dimensions to its onscreen heroes.”
And I’m ok with that, sounds like a good enough reason to me. I believe in Joss Whedon, I can go with that.
Now comes my question: What will happen in this movie? His superpower is that he can shrink down to the size of an ant, giving me the impression of a “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” kind of movie. I am by no means an expert on Marvel stories, so I’ll pose the question to all of you guys out there on the internet.
What do you think the Ant Man movie be about?

We have a few pictures so far: the beloved trench coats that everyone should have in their closets and we also have the pastels I was talking about.
It looks like purple and pink are the colors to look forward to. I love the lace and the whole look in general.
Do you like the campaign look so far?
200 Years
It’s been 200 years since Jane Austen has published “Pride and Prejudice”. Let that marinate in your mind for a second.
….Are you back? Good.
Like many others I fell in love with Jane Austen’s novel and can honestly say that while “Pride and Prejudice” is probably considered my favorite (along with the rest of the world) I loved all of Austen’s heroines. Austen was so ahead of her time as a women writing such amazing books about love and secretly mocking the strict victorian society. There have been generations of people raised on these stories (especially if their mothers were fans).
I grew up watching the BBC classics and later reading the source material. It still astonishes me that even after all this time, people can still love and relate to these stories. Haven’t we all faced a Mr. Collins or a Miss Bingley at least once in our lives? Haven’t we all seen someone settle with what they had the way Charlotte Lucas did or refuse to the way that Elizabeth Bennet showed. I am sure that 200 years later, people will still be talking about these classic love stories.
These women prove your modeling career can last long past your 20s.
These ladies show that age is just a number!
Disney: The Next Generation
Guys, it’s happening. Apparently, there is going to be a live action movie in the works about the next generation of Disney’s most iconic villains and heroes are going to be together in one prepschool.
The official description is: “Beast and Belle rule over an idyllic kingdom with their kind teenage son, who looks to be taking the throne, but his first proclamation involves a shot at redemption for the misbehaving kids of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen from Snow White, and Jafar (named Carlos, Mal, Evvie, and Jay, respectively)
.
The teens attend the kingdom’s hottest prep school alongside other famous offspring, including the children of the Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel, and Mulan. The villainous teens face a dilemma of nature vs. nurture, and whether they’ll follow in their parents’ footsteps or embrace their own inner hero.” (from Entertainment Weekly)
I can’t to see what all these new characters will look like! Possibly some kind of Disney Gossip Girl?
Are you excited about the news?
Peter Jackson has found a gold mine in Tolkien’s work. First with the original Lord of the Rings Trilogy, which won countless accolades and made Jackson one of the most sought after directors in the world. He has done it again with the prequel “The Hobbit”. He has essentially turned a 310 page book into a 3 part movie series and they aren’t short movies either!
In a recent interview with Hypable, Jackson explained, “What it does is allow you to let the characters drive the story. In a novel, the writer of the novel is often the person who narrates the story, the person who takes you on the journey,” Jackson explains. “Tolkien’s voice is obviously fantastic at doing that. You feel like he’s right beside you, telling you a bed time story. In the movie, you don’t want me on screen talking about what’s happening. So, in a film you have to have the story told through the dialogue of the characters, through the actions of the characters.”
So there we have it folks! The line of thinking makes sense. It’s hard translating a third person narrative from book form into a compelling movie that isn’t filled with an endless voiceover explaining what is going on to the reader. The world that Tolkien has created is vast and is big enough to make this children’s novel into such an expansive story.
