ok yes. Ive seen a lot of these on my posts and on others too, usually art blogs new to the platform.

This is a phishing scam.

These bots target specific tags, ones like ‘my art’, ‘art’. That’s how they send so many comments in a short span of time.

DO NOT CONTACT THESE BOTS. if you message them they will ask for a commission, and try to get you to download a specific app for payment which will benefit them. this is not a legitimate commission ask.its best to simply delete the comment and move on.

It’s fairly easy to tell that this kind of comment is from a bot, however some bots have been getting more creative with their comments. here’s some signs you can look for if you’re unsure:

-no profile picture

-no posts

-liked posts are from a ton of different random fandoms or topics

-has liked 20 posts in two seconds

There are lots of other phishing scams that can happen. Some bots will try to convince you that your account has been ‘accidentally reported’ and you must contact an outside email to clear your name. Also a scam.
