I am passionate about the Pan-African vision. . It's an idea that took strong roots in parts of the continent. . Although the idea of a united Africa was not fully embraced in its mother land of Ghana. Where Nkwame Nkuruma was former president and urged leaders to unite . Today entrepreneurs and innovators alike are finding ways to drop payment border, access markets and scale across cultural lines. . Entrepreneurs are building a united Africa by virtue of building good and big business. . So everyday we also continue to contribute to the pan african vision. . We work with development agencies and corporates to run entrepreneurship programs. One of these programmes that will kick off in the new year will be an aerospace tech group of innovators that will go through mentorship, investment readiness training and an investor tour. Part 4 of Believing in Yourself . Tell yourself your story properly . . . The older I get (although still young) the more years I have to look back on. The more experiences I can remember. The more life I have behind me and the more past that can influence my future. . This is for all of us. . "The past does not define your future but it does influence your present and its your present that defines your future". . However your version of the story of your past is not the same as anyone else. . Have you ever written down your life story. Your life journey. The ups and downs? . Write it down. Because you will realize that the story you tell yourself about your past should be based on the story you want people to tell about your life when you are no longer here. . The story of your past is also the story of your future. The only difference is that you are still to write the story of your future. . I used to remember the failures and mistakes I made as my past. The things I lost. . Until I realized its not the whole story. . Becuase I am still here. Grafting it out everyday. I have actually overcome alot. I have grown and I continue to mature. I am grateful for those "bad" things that happened. . Now I think about them as a story of gaining. . I aslo used to focus on my failures without remembering my achievements. And you can't tell me you have not achievements. . Becuase then you are likely defining achievement by society's standards. . If you truly ask yourself. "what am I proud of"? It might have nothing to do with typical achievements. . It might be.... . I was faithful . I beat depression . Paying for my mother's medical bills. . Saying no to dirty money . . . These are the stories you should focus on when writing your story. When you tell yourself your story. . Because you have to focus on something. . It will either be proper, empowering and building . Or it will be improper, weakening and destructive. . Choose to tell yourself the proper version... Your self belief depends on it. Part 3 of 10 for believing in yourself. . Keep the promises you make to yourself. . Growing up I would lie, cheat and steal. Nothing major... Small things. Pens, leftover food in the fridge, my chores.... . And I thought that as long as I talk my way out of it and i could get away with things . Everything would be fine. But the older I got the more major things became. . Until I realized that.... . Everyone of us has a relationship with ourselves. . We build trust in ourselves and have a reputation with ourselves just like anyone else. . The only difference is that you can read your own mind. Unlike anyone else. . So it means you know the truths truth and nothing but the truth., even when you try to lie to yourself. . Every single little thing that you let yourself down on. . You know.... It.. . The way you do anything is the way you do everything . So be honest with yourself and keep the promises you make to you... This is my North star now. . Daily I try not to compromise on it. DISCIPLINE will beat Talent every single time, especially if talent is not disciplined. . This was last night. The 22h00 nights and 05h30 mornings are becoming a preferred way of life. . I grew up with the word discipline being used as a punishment. . "You are not disciplined" = bad child . "I will discipline you" = I will pu ish you. . However today I know know that Jesus and Mohammemed had disciples. . There are disciplines of engineering . And being disciplined is more freedom than not having discipline . I am not starting to believe that discipline is like mastering the craft to your ideal life. It's line being a disciple of your dreams. In the discipline of your chosen field. Giving you more freedom to be your true self than anything else can ever. . With love and respect. . To be honest the 05h30 mornings are much more difficult for me than the nights. It's just my body. THIS. . No matter what life may be throwing at you right now. . Please remember this. . Atleast it's throwing something at you. . I believe that we are all destined for greater things. . And as long as we wake up in the morning. . We still have a role to play in world. . I remember as a 13 year old. In my mother kitchen. Cooking and arguing with myself about religion, spirituality and beliefs. I concluded that day that there is a higher God and that all the different religions are different roads to the same place. . When my grandmother passed and mother hospitalized I had a very depressing year. . I decided to visits the temples, mosques and churches. To read the books and philosophers for a year. . One of the things i realized is that happiness is a decision. You make it everyday and everyday becomes your life. . It does not mean your life is rainbows 🌈 and butterflies 🦋. Howver, no matter what life throws at you, life is too precious to spend it unhappy. . I hope we can all find our reasons and have little daily reminders to them.
