   Regardless of time, distance or effort -- Makoto would be there, he was always there. When the clock hit 12:00 AM, he couldn’t hide his smile any longer -- not like he was trying, anyway. He nudged his best friend with his shoulder ( they had some sort of sleepover; even though it was a rare occurence now that they were in Tokyo ) --

     “--Haru?” Makoto’s voice was as soft as his smile as he leaned a little further back again. “I’m glad I can continue my tradition to be the first one to tell you this, even in Tokyo. So... happy birthday...!”
