Hello everyone! My name is Joel, but you can call me Jayroll too.
I’m a seventeen year old, properly diagnosed mild autistic, FTM transgender student living in British Columbia, Canada. I like Roosterteeth, I love cats, and I like a lot of anime, including Death Note, Angel Beats, and RWBY. My favorite videogame is Spyro, my favorite book series is Warriors, my favorite band is the Gorillaz, and my favorite superhero Spider-man. I love to sing, draw, write, and listen to music, as well as play videogames.
A few months ago, I moved here to live with my dad. He wasn’t ready for me to need to be relocated so early. Ever since I got here, we’ve been struggling with funds. Between a new apartment so we can both have our own bedrooms and just moving me out here, things have been more than a bit hectic.
My dad is getting stressed out a lot, but I have to say that he’s keeping himself together really well and being strong given our lack of money. His biweekly pay checks usually give us enough money to pay off all our bills and get enough groceries to last until the next one, but we have very little money left over as a sort of “rainy day fund.” Unfortunately, we’ve been hit with a few rainy days; including my dad losing his wallet and getting it back without the hundred fifty dollars he had in it, and having literally four dollars total until my dad gets paid again. On top of that, we’re running out of food. I’ve been eating what we have for canned food for the past few days, and we have nothing to drink but water (which is fine, but my dad and I like to have our coffee and tea too).
Here is a list of things that we need the money to pay for;
- Food
- Food
- My cat Meenah to go to the vet for her Horned Paws (a quick Google search will explain this)
- Replacements for all my dad’s and my own IDs (Due to changing our address; we’ll get fined if we don’t change them)
- My next prescription for anti depressants/anti anxiety medication
- My Driver’s liscence (so I can get a job too and make sure this problem doesn’t come up again)
- Our next phone bill (our cellphones are the only way we can get a hold of each other if something happens while he’s at work.)
- Our next rent bill
- Our next cable bill
- A legal name change for myself
The total of all that comes to about $2,660. Of course, my dad’s next pay check will cover a good chunk of it, but it won’t be enough for all of it, and we can’t afford to make any more sacrifices. And because we need this money, I’m offering up my art skills in an attempt to rush the process. Examples of my art can be found on my art blog, here. (All art on that blog was drawn by me, including reblogs, though I don’t currently have access to my drawing tablet. Only my touch screen tablet will be used for digital art.)
