LMFAO
pokemon type strengths/weaknesses are soooo unintuitive and it's fucking my whole mnemonic system. like bug types are good against grass and psychic, which both make sense because bugs love being in the grass and they have nothing to fear from psychics because a mindreader is no match for the pure nature of a bug mind. and they're also good against dark which again, makes sense because bugs love the dark. dark is under rocks, which is famously a place to find bugs. but they're weak against rock types, suggesting that when they're under rocks it's maybe more of an oppressive situation than a chill one. but then again I hang out in houses voluntarily but would still be pretty weak against an alive house deciding to kick my ass, because that's a totally different kind of dynamic. much to think about.
Grass-type's weaknesses are all things that commonly destroy plants: fire, frost, birds, insects, herbicides.
Psychic-type's weaknesses are objects of fear and dread: creepy-crawlies, ghosts, boogeymen.
Dark-type's weaknesses represent the triumph of the pure heart over evil: Goku, Kamen Rider, Sailor Moon.
And rock is good against bug because you can squish a bug with a rock.

(having a good week) that’s right. the goal is to increase my baseline. make the spirals shallower until they spin lazily on the surface of the water, lose their suction. im not trying to fix it all at once, im trying to incrementally improve my way into something tolerable. and once im there maybe i can shoot for good
(having a bad week) and in my terrible forge i will temper the flames of ruin

Thanks tumblr user i-suggest-vore. I can always count on you for theological literacy wait is there a different reason you like this story
pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
you're also, like, thinking about it a little bit whenever you see one, and it's annoying because not only is it wrong but it's also taking up mental bandwidth and you can't delete net zero information at will
i really love this genre of image

Big fan of this specific genre of Apollo statue
Serve honestly.
statues from Cyrene, Miletus, Naples and Delphi respectively
fun fact, this type of statue is specifically called "apollo lyceus" ! the pose helped distinguish apollo from other figures that bore similar appearances, and became somewhat synonymous with him ^_^
