Project 5 Good talk part 1
I was scared to open my mouth. I was scared I would start yelling, and if I started yelling she would be scared of me and if she was scared of me, she would be right about - Mira Jacob
I really related to this quote from "Good Talk". Although I do not have the exact same experiences, as a queer person I have heard too many times, "I don't think someone would really do that" or "You're overreacting" when I try to bring up concerns surrounding the queer community. People seem to have trouble listening to my experiences and I get frustrated and angry, but I know that if I start yelling it'll just shut down the conversation. I'm left feeling like I'm going crazy, so oftentimes I turn to art to calm myself and clear my head. I hope if I can express my feelings well enough through art, maybe people will better understand and be able to have empathy, or at least offer comfort to those in similar situations, like Mira Jacob did for me.

What makes performance art, art and not just doing something? Going into this project, that was the question I was struggling with. After looking into some recommended performance artists, I was inspired to do something in the kitchen. I wanted to turn the audience into the cake I was frosting. Me simply frosting a cake is not necessarily performance art, but making it more interactive I think makes it feel more like a performance. Now you're a cake!
I liked seeing different perspective and it was therapeutic being a cake.
Performance Art Project
For my project I decided to record myself drawing Dumbo which was my favorite when I was little. I've always loved drawing; I am not the best but I sure like to draw any cartoon character. I added some music to make it more fun to watch. I hope you enjoy.
Don't mind my sharpies running out of ink lol.
I like watching Dumbo come to life and the music

I like the action of taking off layers of blankets and the unexpected ending
I like the concept of Link yelling it reminded me of playing this with my brother on the GameCube

Performance Art: method 1
I really like your performance piece because I think that everyone can relate especially being closer to the end of the semester.
Project 4
I enjoy the animation on top of the realistic images.
I like the sound that plays over the eating performance, and it also makes me hungry
I like the repetition in both of these images
