"Mystique"

a boy seemingly born in the Nexus facility. Ever since he was a child hed been kept secluded within the grounds of the organization, not allowed to see the outside world. All hes ever known is that he will be the one to find the cure, the one who will manage to cure the power users of their savage nature, the one who will free their souls and make them normal, make them human. A task that consumes his every waking moment and a cure he desperately needs in order to cure his own illness.

here's a quick look into what the main four might've been up to on a day-to-day basis when they were kids

bunny was typically seen hanging around the "grown-ups" lounge at the orphanage where she'd indulge herself in old films or tv programs, sometimes even performances of the arts. felix would be following his strict routine that took up the majority of his day, although during that time he was still attending school in person but would often leave early or skip weeks when he'd perform/compete overseas. on the rougher side of things, makoto would be working (illegally) to support himself and his mother as a cleaner and at a storage unit. he was able to endure all this due to his powers which helped him a great deal when it came to feeding himself etc. finally fuyu would usually be away from home for as long as possible, hanging around makoto or staying in the abandoned room upstairs on the roof. when he'd finally have to return he'd study away as his parents slept.

the sun

when a new power user is born, a designated card is assigned to them usually based on their power. In the current agency is where the old woman responsible for the tarot cards resides and that's where they take the new comers the moment they enter the building in order for the tarot reading to be done. it's a procedure done in order to see what kind of powers they have or sense if the powers are too dangerous and act accordingly.

fuyu is makoto's sun, in every universe, in every timeline, fuyu is there, that's why his tarot card is called the sun. despite that fact, it also matches with his powers in a way

after parties

felix was no stranger to bascing in the glory of his victories, which meant he was familiar to after parties often hosted by his agency and on special occasions by mr wolff himself. they gave him a chance to dress up and commute with others from the agency and even (future) sponsors. these parties however, didn't offer much else to felix other than undivided attention, (some unwanted harassment) and a way to escape into a different scene entirely, filled with bright fluorescent lights flashing on and off- something which he was fond of (of course) but what he really wanted was to focus even more on his skating and find more ways to be better.

happy new year's! we ended the year on power users and we're starting the new one with them as well. try to spot all the hidden messages ^_^

hidden in plain sight

in this universe, due to the stigma surrounding power users painting them in a negative light, schools and other facilities often host random inspections. the people that are targeted the most are the ones that stand out with their physical appearance. different coloured hair, strange eyes, or even displaying certain personality traits (based on VERY objective first looks) would make you a target which means makoto was targeted way more frequently than fuyu, who flew often under the radar. makoto and fuyu experienced a few inspections while in highschool before they got taken to the agency (as they were only done above a certain age group). fun fact, the trees wayyy in the back are featured in a greyscaled drawing i did a while back of makoto and fuyu chatting by the stairs

this might be my last post of the year so id like to take a moment and thank all of you who stayed by me and enjoyed my rather inconsistent content. happy holidays

ever since their first meeting in the first grade, makoto and fuyu's lives revolved around each other. from walking to school together to being in each other's company as an escape, it was evident that they were connected on a different level than most people around them they understood each other's troubles, especially as the years went on, but never tried to interfere since they never saw the reason to, even if they both really needed it (this'll be important later on)
