I feel like -that- should have been the ancient whatever the hell it's called instead of the blue and black one.
I personally disagree The reason I believe this is that the horn being that bluish green actually makes it resemble aged copper or bronze, which aligns well with Shout's occupation as a Treasure Hunter (COUGH archeologist COUGH)/the nature of the tool being uncovered as an artifact from the ancients.
That said there is a potential point to be made with the horn used in the past at the beginning of the episode being unchanged from the one Shout uses. They could've changed that up to convey that it changed over time, though with Omegahorn being a show aimed at kids I could see that being confusing.
