It was a nippy -18°C today, a bit cold for a ride but that didn't slow me down much. The new 11-speed XT drivetrain is proving to be bulletproof; no issues with shifting whatsoever. Took the new drivetrain on its maiden voyage. Turned out I left the chain just a tad bit too long which caused some random chain slip. This month has turned out to be very expensive so far. First, I bought myself and my bike a Christmas present in the form of a fully new drivetrain to replace the worn out one. That was pricey on its own but to make matters worse my old trusty Nexus 5X bootlooped and died so had to upgrade to a Motorola moto G5S plus. Went on the last run of the year in #bc #canada. Just a quick 4 km run with nearly 200 meters of elevation gain which made the run much tougher. Especially for someone like me who is used to flatter terrain.
