Hello, and welcome mobile users and otherwise to my little corner of the FFVII fandom! Here you will find everyone's favorite executive and cat fan, Director Reeve Tuesti. //Hopefully I will be able to finish the last two drafts I have lol. Been feeling extra low energy lately so we shall see.
Aerith can't help but shrug, offering a playful smile. "I have a lot of people I consider as friends working for Shinra." And she sounds crazy to the others every time she admits such a thing, but she likes the Turks. She likes all of them. Of course they do horrible things sometimes, but they have also offered her kindness more than once, no matter how hard they enjoy to pretend otherwise. Aerith just can't erase that. Knowing who Cait Sith really is won't change anything for her.
She smiles again, putting her hands together against her heart. "Well I'm glad you figured we had similar morals. It's good to have you around." An adorable cat and a powerful ally. It's the best of both worlds.
Cait Sith nodded and made a sound almost like a mew before he answered her. "Aye, I ken. Tseng n' you have known each other for a long time I hear." The cat tilted his head a little bit as his ears twitched before hopping down from his eye to eye vantage point.
"The Turks aren't bad people, nah. Their jobs just make it so."
"Cheese fries it is." Noctis had never actually tried dipping fries in a milkshake, but it didn't really appeal to him. He knew that people liked to do it though. It was something of a cullinary marvel – two things that shouldn't work together actually pairing pretty well. It did make him wonder what exactly the first person who had ever tried it had been thinking though.
Once they had ordered, Noctis settled back against the booth and made himself comfortable. Reeve had chosen a good spot. It was out of the way so they benefited from a little privacy.
"So, how are things going with...well, everything? I know that rebuilding is gonna take a long time, but you've made some progress, right?"
"Things are going a little better than I had originally anticipated. Considering what we've been dealing with up until this point I'd say -- it's not too shabby." Reeve smiled a bit as he took a seat across from Noctis. Sipping his soda with a pleasant hum. He doesn't often indulge in too many sugary drinks; so this was always a nice treat. "The other largest hurdle I am trying to overcome is facilitating proper social programs for a lot of the displaced citizens. People who already lived out this way have been established here."
Reeve took another sip, "The people from the center of Midgar are completely rebuilding their lives. The amount of proper housing needed, infrastructure changes and additions -- it all comes together to make sure everyone is well looked after. I don't want housing thrown up so quickly that the integrity of the structure is compromised. It's ...a balancing act."
The confusion in the room was thick enough to cut with a combat knife. Cissnei looked down at her own left hand, her fingers brushing against the unfamiliar metal of the wedding band. A rare, sudden flush hit her cheeks, but she quickly crossed her arms, trying to anchor herself back into her usual professional footing.
She cleared her throat, her eyes darting from the ring back up to Reeve, who was still staring at his own hand in a daze.
"Alright, let's assess," Cissnei said, her voice steadying as she leaned into a familiar, tactical cadence to cover the blush. "No memory of a ceremony, no recollection of buying a condo, but apparently, we share a tax bracket now. Unless Corel has radically changed its entry requirements to include a marriage license, I think we skipped a few steps. Because if you were trying to lock down a permanent Turk escort, there were less convoluted ways to ask..."
She took a step closer, a teasing, slightly breathless smirk breaking through her composure.
"Are you going to keep staring at that ring like it's a piece of unexploded ordnance, Tuesti, or are you going to help your... wife... figure out whose kitchen we just hijacked?"
She placed a grounding hand o his arm, as she looked up at him apologetically. He deserved better than her. He must be in a nightmare. "And if we're stuck, we minds as well get to know each other better. Revisit those parts we missed."

"Last time I checked we were definitely not here -- I was either at home or the office I can't even remember now. Fact is; we did not start out here and are now suddenly here." Somehow Reeve seemed a little less embarrassed about the whole ring business. He had caught a glimpse of that pink hue on Cissnei's cheeks before returning his attentions elsewhere. That was until she was speaking once more and gave her his undivided attention.
"Well, dearest, I would say we certainly hijacked a kitchen of possibly our own design. That wall clock? I have one like it back at my home." Reeve pointed out seeming a bit confused and concerned about this prospect.
He rose a brow, "Get to know each other better? I never took you as someone so forward." He decided to jest in order to cut any discomfort or tension in the room down a bit.

Cloud propped his elbow onto the table and rested his chin on his hand, offering a small shrug of his shoulder. "I guess. Maybe eating dirt will make him mellow out – or give him permanent brain damage," he replied, idly watching the people around them. He wasn't good with crowds, but the place was thankfully not too busy.
"Then again, maybe it wouldn't change much," not that Cloud thought that the guy was actually stupid. Brutish, yes, but the guy knew war, at the very least. He just didn't care about human lives and seemed to like the power he held a little too much.
"Someone as large as him I am sure it has been a long time since someone could knock him on his ass." Reeve was trying to picture a time when Heidagger wasn't almost seven feet tall and strong as an ox. That was probably far, far back when the man was just but 10 years of age. He picked up the menu to give a look over seeing if the establishment had any specials today or not.
"You know....some onigiri sounds good. They offer that here. Personally, I really like the salmon ones and the bonito ones."
Aerith listens to what Reeves is saying with a bright smile on her face. This new freedom is great, of course, but she genuinely doesn't even know what to do with it. For so long she thought she'd never really be free from Shinra and Hojo. For so long she thought her life would only be about hiding and about being a Cetra. But of course she's more than that, and she's now allowed to choose. She just doesn't know how to do it.
"All these options sound great!" She lets a happy chuckle escape her mouth as she puts her hands together. "I wonder if my mom would love to have a dog at home... Cats are great, but I think I'm more of a dog person." Maybe it's silly, but a dog would somehow remind her of Zack. "But I will try these three things. The waterpark, the cat cafe and the Gold Saucer. It had a lot of fun there!"
The jovial tone and expression on Aerith's face was almost infectious. She's such a sweet woman and he was glad to see that the ideas posed to her were taken so warmly. "Gold Saucer is always a lot of fun to be had. I particularly enjoy going to the arcade area when I do but, honestly seeing the productions that are put on aren't half bad either."
You know -- he could see her being more of a dog person. She was decently high energy which is always a plus when you have a canine companion. "When you have the time maybe consider looking into adopting a dog?"
Cissnei leaned forward along the table, chin resting her fist. A mischievous grin graced her lips. She was amused by his lighthearted joking of interrogation. “Hmm? You have a bedtime? Here I thought you toiled endlessly.” She always imagined he worked long hours and woke up early. It made her wonder if he really did even sleep.
When he finished the lunch, she gestured to the seat across from her. She chuckled, “But since you are keen on experiencing an interrogation, feel free to take a seat.” She teased offering him a spot to chat. @engineering-robotics
"Oh no, I have to sleep in order to keep things running smoothly. What -- do you think I have a robot doing all the late night tasks?" There was a mischievous look to his eyes when Reeve spoke that. A bit of a grin before he defaulted back to his usual pleasant smile. Though at the gesture of the seat across from her, he casually went over and sat down placings his hands neatly folded on the table.
"Now, what is it a Turk would want to know from the Director of Urban Development? Surely everything is running smoothly."
"It's good you are keeping up on those. I hear some reactors get neglected." Mainly the ones outside of Midgar, aside from the one that had caused her accident and landed her in this place to begin with. She had snuck in to admire the mako below when the railing broke, and she fell in. Perhaps that was her own fault for being too curious. Hojo's team had found her, and that accident was kept quiet, naturally. That was also a very long time ago now.
Home. That was another concept entirely. Reeve was always so busy that it was hard to imagine him at home. She didn't even have one of those. "You live in one of the apartments out there?" She questions. "A house?" What would the master designer of Midgar choose to live in himself? "Did you build it yourself?" She asks with a grin. "Is every last detail as meticulous as this city? I bet it is." She teases, but she wouldn't be surprised if he designed the blueprints.
"I just like to come here when it's quiet and enjoy the view of the Mako towers at night." The dancing green glow glittering in the air. "That's all I'm up to at the moment. Nothing terribly exciting, I guess." What lay dormant in the labs was terrible enough and certainly not exciting.

"Neglected reactors can cause so many problems down the line. I try my best to service as many as I can but, the ones which laid in disuse before I took my position I am having to go back over. Anything leaking from those is a catastrophe for the people living near them." Reeve adjusted to sit more comfortably as he looked over at Izzy.
"Oh, my home? Yes I did actually get into designing it myself. I lived in an apartment for the longest time before I made the blueprints for my place." He had to chuckle though when she inquired if all details remained as meticulous as Midgar. "Well, you might be surprised at how much whimsy I actually enjoy in my private spaces. I will tell you I got bored and decided to create a secret passage as a shortcut to my kitchen. The door to it is a little tricky to find."
Barnabas tilted his head ever so slightly, showing that he was listening. Reeve had always been a conundrum, in more ways that one. The other had stuck by his side for a long time and never seemed to mind his eccentricities. "I see," he did not offer much else in response at first, his mind wandering. The truth was that Barnabas was often bored. Life was dull without true free will, but that was the way of his God.
The only thing Barnabas allowed himself to be passionate about these days was Mythos, but even that was carefully curated towards his specific goal. To be seen as comfortable, even interesting company, despite his state of mind, was a curious concept.
"Do you believe in destiny?" He questioned finally, brushing past the other's words. Reeve was one face amongst many, though it was true that he was more pleasant company compared to most.
"Destiny...?" Reeve repeated as he sat back a little bit seeming unsure how to answer that question precisely. Destiny wasn't something he had ever thought about too often. Life was as it is, right? He could ascertain by the tone of his king's voice that this question wasn't layered for any particular purpose. Merely posed perhaps out of a kind of bored curiosity.
"I cannot say that I entirely put my faith in destiny. There are so many choices that people make everyday that lay paths for their lives moving forward: good or bad. To mend or break things entirely up to our desire for a specific outcome. With magic it's obvious there are some forces out there that permeate all around us everyday. But, I think destiny is left up to the hands of the people who live and thrive on this planet. It's whatever you wish to do to mold and shape the rest of your life. Which in turn could very well affect the lives of others in your sphere." That was the best he could give on the fly. Something he had never really taken the time to really delve into his mind about. Though the core foundations of his beliefs about people were still mapped up rather well.

"Hmmm.... I dunno..." he said softly. "A vacation sounds nice, though... but I don't know if I can wait before then," he giggled. Three years. It seemed like just yesterday they met by chance in a club.
"Maybe.... instead we go here..." he said, pointing to one of the circled options... "and just take a long weekend instead?" He didn't need to be elsewhere; he just needed Reeve with him. Even said so, rolling over so that he could look directly up at the older man.
"A long weekend might work better. We can plan for a longer vacation sometime later in the year, yeah?" Reeve finally put his full attention to Souji after setting his things down. Leaning down to peck a kiss on the man's forehead gently.
"Being able to even take a break is still foreign to me. A little over four years ago I would've though that was a pipe dream."
"A cat robot that you... programmed to clean itself and make cat puns..."
"....Right. That still doesn't really make me a furry, at all."
Or does it?
He's afraid to delve deeper.
"We're married."
"Third anniversary is coming up in to weeks -- what do you want to do this go around?" He asked currently looking through a short list of new places they could have dinner at. Two were already circled as potential winners in the pickings but, at the end of the day he was going to leave the decision up to Souji. Three years already though, huh? Looking back he scarcely felt that much time had even passed but, here they were.
"Or if you want we can wait a little and take a vacation."

Reeve suddenly found himself standing in what looked like...a kitchen? This wasn't his kitchen far as he could tell. Perhaps he was in some kind of condo or suite. What he could remember was speaking with Cissnei about a future trip to Corel before -- suddenly he was here.
Wait, Cissnei was too?
Reeve looked over from where he was standing by the sink and spotted her a few feet away. She seemed as confounded as he was. What caught his attention next was the strange feeling on his ring finger; looking down only to see a wedding band.
Maybe he ...wasn't talking to her about Corel and was actually asleep in his bed?
