Amazon’s NYC Store Opens

New York City’s first brick and mortar bookstore opened in the Time Warner Center mall. The shiny new shop featured plenty of non-book products like Amazon’s CIA spying device, Echo. 

The Time Warner Mall previously was home to a Borders Bookstore before the chain went under. That store held a flagship storefront at the top of an escalator bank. Amazon’s new shop is in a much less prominent location off of the main ground floor strip.
