among complicated souls bound for
translated tunes of honeydew
wild pushy
on underground trains —
no one snowly comprehends you
like hiccuping newspapers who close doors on the nails of your libation poetry
you seem so
effervescent in these touristy pictures you post beside
yellow tulips cenotaphs minarets
all whistle and whirl
yet none indeed can see you
Great love is shown by allowing others the space to process their emotions in their own time. Every heart is singular; it holds its own wounds and has a unique way of healing. The inner transformation is a journey only the individual can complete. Our role is simply to be patient, offer our unwavering support, and watch from the sidelines.

It took me more than a year to get back on track and start writing my journal entries again. I don't really know what happened in the last couple of years, but I felt like I had lost the drive to organize my thoughts.
I'm trying to remain organized, but my thoughts are just noise.
Who can command the heart? Love is a free bird that perches on the branch it wants and there it sings it's soul, whether it is heard or not, whether it is welcomed or ignored. And it will sing until it freezes to death in the cold winter of heartbreak, or it will make its nest in the summer of a welcoming heart.

I am afraid I cannot be an undying light when I have seen so much darkness. I know the horrors of the world and pain that shatters the soul, but I can sit in the darkness with you until daylight breaks in your soul. I can share the silence and the void, and hold your hand through it all. Sometimes hope is not brewed in the light but in the most absolute darkness, and sometimes all it takes is the knowledge that someone cares and that you are not alone.

There is a part of me that recognized you as soon as it felt you. Eons of time, countless transformations, distances only breached by light, and yet we managed to find each other always. Like we carry not only the stardust that we were but the gravity that bound us together.

I will be there for the joys and the sorrows, for the mountain tops and the desert valleys, to embrace your heart and soothe the pains, to hold your hand endlessly. Most people think forgiveness is free, and it is if you are the one who is being forgiven. Grace is indeed a gift extended freely, but forgiveness always comes at a cost, not to the offender but to the offended. Sometimes it's hard to forgive because you don't want to let go of your right to retaliate or expect compensation, to be hurt and have your hurt and your suffering acknowledged by the one who caused it. The thing is that rarely happens. Usually the offender does not feel the need to apologize or make amends and the offended is left with the pain and hurt brewing inside, poisoning the heart, but more often than not, this process takes time for it is a mourning process of one's self. The graver the offense, the more costly it is, yet it is more costly to not let go.
