Greer: It’s so nice of you to help me, Ms. Temperance. My daughter could learn from you *chuckles*
Claudia: It’s no problem. Just because I’m no longer home doesn’t mean I should shrug off on chores, I know mom would give me an earful.
Claudia stopped mid thought and registered everything Greer had said.
Claudia: Wait, daughter? I didn’t know you were a mother. How old is she?
She was so slim and beautiful, she couldn’t imagine Greer having gone through a pregnancy and childbirth.
Greer: You’re 18 right? She’s only 3 years younger than you, actually. I hope you’ll rub off on her and that you two get along! She could use a friend outside of the Saintfawn children.
If anything, she imagined maybe her daughter was a toddler. In actuality her daughter was much closer in age than Greer was then.
Claudia: Whoa! I thought you weren’t much older than me... you look so young.
Greer: Well, I still consider myself young! Being in my thirties doesn’t make me old yet, I hope!
Claudia: Are you married as well?
There was no way she couldn’t be, Claudia thought. Greer was insanely beautiful and she was probably married to her daughter’s father then, she assumed. Greer stood up and looked vacant for a moment.
Greer: Oh, no dear. I’m not. Her father and I just weren’t meant to be, sadly. But I enjoy being a single woman. I have so much work to do, after all. No time for things like that.
Claudia: I-I’m sorry.. I-
Claudia realized she hit a sore subject and found herself feeling guilty and at a loss for words. But Greer only shook her head and smiled.
Greer: No! There’s nothing to be sorry for, dear.
