More of my thoughts and art process under the cut !

They requested for Tenna to dream of something space related, or anything space related really, and i became so hype about it i conjured up a whole comic in my head in addition to my main gift (the colored first pic which also happens to be the first panel of the comic!) though for now only the first 3 pages will be shared as the rest of the comic isnt quite fully done yet but expect more to come ;3

This little project gave me the chance to go down a rabbit hole of old classics of TV regarding science fiction and space themed movies <3 I thought the occasion was offering itself. I am quite a fan of the old style of movies and the ambiance it gives (more drastic shadows, different use of light from back then etc), which i tried to imitate with my colors. A small honor to star trek had to be done, considering old CRT TV and classics of TV space, which was also incredibly nostalgic for me, remembering my dad watching the series during my childhood. Though the comic makes reference to the original star trek series!

something you need to like. realize about tennas motivations in chapter 3 is hes essentially a dog whos aware his owners are planning on putting him to sleep soon and hes desperate to avoid it. to the dreemurrs they just see a old beloved tv thats outdated and they need to finally replace because they barely even use it anymore. to tenna hes a member of their family that they just forgot about and need to be reminded of and the second someone showed up and gave him a deal that would give him that he needed to take it no matter what.

Like I feel like a lot of people view his motivations as “washed up old celebrity who doesnt want his show to get canceled” or even “yandere starved for your attention” HES AN ITEM HES AN ACTUAL PHYSICAL TV. IF HE GETS THROWN AWAY HE FUCKING DIES!!!!!! THIS IS A GUY WHO WAS CONVINCED HIS FAMILY LOVED HIM GETTING NEGLECTED FOR YEARS AND THEN FACING DEATH FOR THE CRIME OF NOT BEING ENOUGH ANYMORE!!!!! HES A DOG THAT DOESNT KNOW WHY YOU STOPPED TAKING HIM FOR WALKS AND PETTING HIM AND HUGGING HIM SUDDENLY REALIZING YOURE PLANNING TO PUT HIM DOWN!!
