Reading that bit about Evelyn snapping back at kids making fun of MC growing up makes me wonder, how would the ROs act in such a situation (someone making fun of or looking down on MC's perceived deafness/muteness when MC "can't hear them")?

Calliope would snap back, incredibly loud and incredibly angry. She’d also punch them. It may be a weak punch and only reach mid stomach, but it’s the thought that counts.

Corinne would give them such a tongue lashing! But she would do it without emotion and in such a condescending way that they’d feel utterly humiliated and repentant.

Autopsies are mandated for sudden deaths in seemingly healthy people. They did an autopsy on Renee Good and George Floyd despite both deaths being filmed. I trust medical examiners over coroners and sheriff systems. Minneapolis uses medical examiner Andrew Baker, he was the one who did George Floyd’s autopsy. Forensic pathologists search for the original or underlying disease/injury/event that led to a string of unbroken events over an unlimited time that eventually led to death. In George Floyd’s case he had atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, but this would not have caused him to die at this time, so the string of events is interrupted by the kneeling. This is called the ‘but-for’ paradigm, i.e “but for heart disease this doesn’t happen”. Non-natural occurrences are given preference in cause of death, so the fentanyl would have taken preference to the heart disease. However a condition that is separate and distinct from the presumed underlying events breaks the chain and serves as an intervening cause of death anatomical and/or physiological(this would be the police brutality). Therefore the actual cause of death was Chauvin kneeling on him. Which seems to be the testimony he gave the court, and why I trust him to give the autopsy for Alex Pretti.
