Hey folks.

Over the next few weeks, I will be messaging people who I wish to continue threads with about all of this. This information is just for the general populous. 

Firstly, I’d like to think everyone so much for supporting me, and this blog. When I brought back Mel, I never thought that she’d prove to be as popular and well liked as she has. The problem however, is that since I’ve added more blogs and characters to my Tumblrverse, I have had less and less time for Mel. 

Mel is one of my favourite characters I’ve created. She’s been part of my life for the last 7 years, and I don’t want to give her up. I want Mel to have more crazy SHIELD adventures, for everyone to see. 

For that reason, I’m going to be moving Mel over onto my multi-muse blog. This means that I will have much more time to roleplay as her, and don’t have to worry as much about logging into a different blog to do my writing.

She thinks for a moment, before taking out a notebook and pen from her pocket. Mel scrawls down her number, and tears out the page, handing it to Jami. “Take this. If you ever decide you want a break from the life of a Ravager, even if it’s just for one night, let me know. Wherever you are, I’ll get there within an hour, tops.”

“Thermals, night vision, whatever we have, get them on! And someone get those running again, especially those two!” She points to the vehicles that were shut off. While a few remained untouched, a particular pair of vehicles, both delivery trucks, had sustained minor damage thanks to collisions with parked vehicles.

While she could just have the remaining vehicles to just move on, the two contained items of interest to SHIELD, and she had been employed to deliver them. Plus, they had to fit them with shielding to avoid any danger; they had to get them moving.

“Agent, you know of anyone who could have found out about the job, and has the tech to do something like this?” She had to figure out what was happening, and fast; a ambush was bound to happen at any moment.

Mel is tensed, unsure of what to do. She’s heard of technology like this, but does she know who has possession of it?? Not a chance in hell. She may be an agent who had quite a lot of responsibilities in SHIELD, but she still was just barely Level 7. If she was a higher level agent, she might have access to that information, but even so, without any backup, she couldn’t find out.

“I can’t say I know.” She hates to admit it, because it makes her seem like a weaker agent, but she knows that if she lies about it and is completely wrong, it could end up biting them in the ass. “I haven’t got signal, either. I can’t contact my base.” She adds bitterly, gun raised as she turns in the direction of movement. She has to admit, the pressure of this situation is beginning to get to her.

            “If you’re sure,” he murmurs, and reaches out, a gentle hand closing around her shoulder for a comforting squeeze. It was disgusting, the way stories like this were commonplace; hell, half the folks at the school could relate. As shitty as it was, at least it meant good therapy. “I want you t’know you’re always free to talk t’me about things if you wanna, and if not, I can recommend some folks you might could be comfortable with. I’m sorry you had t’go through that, chérie.”

She can feel a tear running down her face, but Mel’s quick to brush it away. She didn’t like thinking about everything she’d been through too much, because if she did, it reminded her of all that she’d lost. “I’ll be fine. Tougher stuff happens to other people all the time.” It was like an excuse; she always ran away from how she felt. “How did you get here??”

Cyron couldn’t help but laugh when he felt her pulling him along to the fast food chain. Smiling as he happily followed after her. “I wonder if it is different. Can you order me a couple of burgers?” He asked as he simply handed her his wallet. “Just try to keep the price under forty dollars.” He kindly advised her before pulling out his burner phone to get ahold of whom he hoped would be their new landlord. Keeping an eye on Eva as he spoke on the phone.

 Watching the line as well. Making sure to keep his voice kind as he spoke in Romanian quickly and fluently about leasing and how long he wanted everything to be. He had mentioned her name once during the conversation. 

She laughs. “I’m not gonna spend that much. Unless they’ve jacked the prices up over here, it’ll be way under forty dollars.” She tells him, letting go of his arm and heading into the fast food restaurant. The service was better here than it was in America, which was a nice surprise, meaning that she wasn’t waiting long before she got the burgers. They were all bundled in a bag, and it didn’t take too much effort to find him afterwards, either. 

She’s by his side again, listening out, and frowning when she hears her own name on the phone. Unfortunately, she doesn’t understand any Romanian, which means she doesn’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. She gives him the hand signal for okay?? and finds herself frowning in concern.

“That sounds like it could be fun! Safe houses are awesome! I’ve only been to two and it was a bad guy’s safe house, but still. I wished I could’ve poked around and seen what else they had in there…Do you think maybe I could come with you?”  

She thinks for a moment. Mel couldn’t see it being a big deal, but it really depended on what her higher ups said. “I’ll have to check and see if you’re allowed to, but if we get the all clear, I have no problem with you coming.”

Mel’s guard is up, gun raised. She looks around, and somewhere in the back of her head, she can hear cackling. A chill runs up her spine as she begins to wonder what that could mean. “Everyone fall in, we have to remain close.” She commands. She’s the only SHIELD agent on the job, as though she’d been loaned out, and she hated that.

Cyron nods at her answer though he can see she’s exhausted. “Did you sleep at all on any of the flights? I know I napped here and there between them even if I don’t sleep easily.” He mentions in a quiet voice as he collects their bags from baggage claim. Stretching a little as he felt stiff from being in an airplane seat for so many hours. Rubbing her shoulder in a comforting manner. “You can rest on the train. I promise I’ll stay awake.” Assuring her as he walked with her through the terminals down to the train station. Purchasing the train tickets, he looked at her. 

“You should find us something to eat, and we have about a half hour before our train will arrive.” He mentions in a kind voice. Wanting nothing more to settle down in to an apartment. “I need to make some phone calls. See if I can get ahold of the landlord of the complex. As I think both of us would rather stay in an apartment and not a motel room.”

It was a mystery to Eva how she’d managed to stay away, until she remembers the amount of sugar and candy she’d bought before had probably had a hand in that. She shouldn’t have eaten so much of it, but she’d gotten hungrier as the flights went on, meaning she regretted not getting anything more savoury. Still, she was sure to find something in the train station. Immediately, she spots the familiar yellow M of a McDonalds restaurant, and Eva grabs Cyron’s arm, dragging him over to it. “Let’s see if the McDonalds in Europe are as good as the ones in America.” She jokes, grinning at him over her shoulder. 

They had half an hour to wait for the train. So long as they just got their food and went straight to the platform, they’d be on time. Or at least, Eva hoped they would. The queue was long, but she had faith, even if it meant running to make it in time. “I agree. I need a place that’s going to be a constant.” She mumbles, tired of how impermanent everything in her life had been recently.

Betsy waited for a moment as the young girl closed her eyes and settled into her own thoughts. Then Betsy reached out in her mind and found her way into Melana’s mind. Instantly, Betsy can taste ice-cream, a side-effect of the girl concentrating on an old shop she used to go to. A small smirk graces Betsy’s lips before she tentatively delves deeper.

Betsy was not expected to find all of the answers in this first sitting. If anything, Betsy was only expecting to map a small corner of Melana’s mind in preparation for future sessions. As she explored, she located a pocket of particularly dark memories that had what could be described as chains wrapped around them and a lock holding the chains in place. Betsy moved past them. It was too soon to try and unlock anything dark.

She can feel her, wandering through all of the different pathways in her head, and learning where things are. Some things that Betsy’s discovering, Mel didn’t even know were there. For example, the big locked off door?? Mel has no idea what lies on the other side. She’s getting distracted, and she finds herself drifting towards it. When she touches the locks, they fall off.

It’s taunting her, waiting for her to come inside and see what horrors lie beyond it.

She should know better than that, but in this moment, she can’t help it. Though it looks scary, there’s also something inviting about it. She touches the door again, and finds herself grimacing. She feels nothing but pain and anguish. She moves away from it, drifting back towards the thoughts of the ice cream shop. Stay out of it. She scolds herself. “Sorry.”
