Hey folks.

Over the next few weeks, I will be messaging people who I wish to continue threads with about all of this. This information is just for the general populous.

Firstly, I’d like to thank everyone so much for supporting me, and this blog. When I brought back Phil, I never thought that people would enjoy my portrayal as much as they have. The problem however, is that since I’ve added more blogs and characters to my Tumblrverse, I have had less and less time for Phil.

Phil is my favourite MCU character, hands down. He’s been there since the beginning of the timeline, and I enjoyed him as a character so much in Iron Man 2, that that was when I initially decided to begin roleplaying as him. When I returned to Tumblr RP, it didn’t take long before my muse for Phil began to rise again, and it seems that other people here love him just as much as I do.

For that reason, I’m going to be moving Phil over onto my multi-muse blog. This means that I will have much more time to roleplay as him, and don’t have to worry as much about logging into a different blog to do my writing.

“Good, you’re doing great,” Tony encouraged before grabbing the debris pinning down the other teen’s foot. “One, two, three.” Pulling it up, he made sure to keep an eye on the other guy, making sure he pulled himself out, if not, he’d try to lift the debris with one hand and dragging him out with the other. The tricky part with it wasn’t that the debris was heavy, he could lift more than this, but if he moved it too much, the entire situation might become worse.

They’re able to get him out quite easily, but he’s still in a lot of pain. Phil feels like he’s going to pass out from the pain. He doesn’t think he can remember any point in his life where he’s felt this much pain, but then again, he’s never broken a bone before. Something’s definitely broken. He grimaces as he begins to put more of his weight on the man in the suit. It’s getting harder for him to stay away, his vision is swimming in and out of clarity. “I don’t think I can make it out.”

“The Avengers?” The trickster god asked with a snort, chuckling. “Don’t make me laugh, please. Don’t tell me you honestly believe that a handful of mercinaries and oddities that don’t belong on this planet can maintain peace, and more importantly, stop me?“ The mere thought of that made him chuckle. It was almost adorable how blindly Coulson still believed in superheroes. The trickster almost felt sorry for him. "You’re so naive, it’s almost adorable. Midgard in is chaos right as we speak, even without my involvement. And what do your Avengers do? Sit around here, contemplating about life and what they should have for dinner, perhaps? Earth’s mightiest heroes. Oh please. Half of them are wanted criminals.”

He’d been called that before. Naive. It was something he was told so often when he was a child, for pinning all of his hopes on someone who wasn’t even alive any more. Despite the people who mocked him, he never gave up hope; he always believed in Steve Rogers, and everything that he stood for, and now look where he was: Phil was getting to work with his not-so-dead idol. Naivety wasn’t something to be ashamed of, in his view. And he wouldn’t call himself naive right now. “You don’t believe me, and I think that’s naive.” He tells him, hands clasped behind his back in a military stance; it was left over from his childhood. “You said it yourself. They’re the Earth’s mightiest heroes, and you’d do well not to underestimate them.”

Jemma is unaware of just what is happening to her as her blood is taken so what exists as their med team might figure out what drugs are flowing through her veins. She’s put on fluids and strapped into a more comfortable hospital bed, for fear she might hurt herself. There is little they can do for her for some time, the cocktail in her system makes adding pain killers a threat to her life and other than pain there isn’t much to medically treat.

It is nearly eighteen hours later before Jemma returns from the haze of pain, the haze of drugs and then the haze of sleep to something approaching consciousness. 

He spent most of that time at her bedside.

He blames himself. She’d convinced him she could take care of herself, but that doesn’t mean that Phil blames himself for her getting hurt any less. How had they found out about the mole in their midst?? He’s full of worry, hands clasped in a praying position in front of his face. He’s silently praying, hoping she’ll wake up from it okay.

Just as he’s thinking more about it, she begins to wake up. He’s so thankful. “Jemma, how are you feeling??”

He finds himself wondering what is easier; giving in to Wade’s request, or denying it. He wasn’t sure what would be less messy, but he knows that he has to act carefully for it to not backfire on SHIELD. “I’m afraid I can’t really help you, because I won’t be an accessory to murder. If he’s let out early by chance then, well...” It’s a tough spot he’s been put in. Phil grimaces. “I won’t interfere with the process. You’ll have to see.”

He raises an eyebrow. “Worries aside, since you don’t care about them, have you got a mission report for me?? Verbal or written, I don’t care which.” Phil adds, a smug smile on his face.

She doesn’t move as he cleans up her wounds; lord knows she’s been through so much worse, she even showed him some of the cauterized signs of it, and this is really nothing. If it were her, she’d slap the bandages around it and forget it, but he’s been as cautious and gentle as he can be. 

Now she has bandaged hands and warmers on her arms, looks ready for a fight. But then Coulson pulls her in a hug, and she makes a small sound, attempting not to cry, wrapping her own arms tightly around him. 

“So I can really stay?” she asks weakly, voice wavering as she presses her face against his shoulder, “… I don’t wanna go.” 

Phil smiles. He’s glad he’s talked her out of this. If he was honest, he was becoming a bit fearful that it would go the other way, and Jemma was beyond convincing.

The team couldn’t be broken up, not after everything they’d been through, and Phil has a feeling there will be much more trauma to come.

“Of course you can stay, what do you think I’ve spent the last ten minutes trying to convince you to do??” He moves out of the hug so he can look her in the eyes. “You are just as much a member of the team as every other person in that lab. You stood with me when I was going through my own problems, and when it seemed like SHIELD was done for. There aren’t many people who can say that.”

they mourned him! while the rest of the world celebrated the avengers, the bartons stood by a grave.

her dad wasn’t okay for a long time after that.

lila holds back tears, conscious of the three agencies that stood in a broken up circle around them. she’s a cia agent. she’s in charge here. lila isn’t going to let herself break down; they have a job to do.

He’s very aware of the fact that he let them down, and to be honest, Phil’s disappointed in himself. He had wanted so badly to tell them all the truth, but he didn’t want to put their lives in danger.

He knows that anyone who was associated with him was a target to bad things.

“It wasn’t my call at the time, and then when SHIELD went under...” His voice trails off. Phil’s speaking quieter now. “When I put together the new SHIELD, I knew that anyone associated with it would be in danger of being arrested. I didn’t want any harm to come to your family.” He explains.
