[ID: A digital drawing of Teor Pridesire and Kattigan Vale from Critical Role. They're standing together holding beer cans, Kattigan with his chin resting on Teor's shoulder and a hand on Teor's waist. They're both looking off to the right with unimpressed expressions as Kattigan asks "Do you know what the fuck they're all talking about?" and Teor responds "No." End description.]
They're gonna go check the perimeter
if Sir Julien Davinos called my name like that i would spend the night thinking "what are we"
Between Luis stating that Azune 1) Has had sex, and proving in-game that he 2) Has zero gaydar, it paints a very interesting picture of how the two possibly overlap
Gus, full warrior flirt: You tell anyone, I'll kill ya >;)
Azune: Understood :)
Demodus, unbroken eye contact with the beautiful nightmare of fire and storm who came to rescue him from a dungeon: I will be so brave. So brave and good for you. So so brave no problem ever
Azune: Thank you :)
Julien, has had to physically touch him during every meeting, has been perking up every time Azune's name is even mentioned since reaching the city, may actually die if he doesn't get a homoerotic solo scene soon: Is it safe here? You need to be careful. Who the fuck was that guy who knew you and I don't know.
Azune: :) :) :)
Unknown lovers, apparently: Hey, want to fuck?
Azune, pants off, hammer out: Sure :)
so fucking stoked that we are hitting loquatius seelie levels of sam reigel pc right now. never let them know your next move. never underestimate a guy doing bits. character development hitting you round the back of the head at full speed when you least expect it. wicander halovar they will actually kill you
Thimble: "this pretty boy"
Thaisha: "you're so pretty"
Tsul'rekshi: "what about you, pretty boy?"
Talcydimir: "the pretty boy, the one with the rapier, kind of like this one"
I think Julien might be an objectively pretty boy, idk
Looking for disability crafts I can do sitting in bed, so I’m channeling my inner grandma. Richelieu cutwork doily from a pattern I drew myself. Here is a link if anyone wants it!
Brother! I got out!
Termina, the Vessel of No Thing (I love her)
my undead knight and i saw you from across the bar and we fucking hate your vibes
“he kinda just came out Julien” aww happy pride
if bolaire can follow the termina storyline and make it work, i can’t believe im saying this, but it might turn around my opinion. be a true trickster!! hang out with your weirdo sister!! do strange shit that is actually plot related!
maybe im just hypnotized because im so entertained by brennan playing a trickster god archetype
I am hoping it will, and I also hope that this is illustrative to like...I mean, Taliesin, but also, everyone. Like, perhaps to reference my previous post, I think the "perfect run" version of Bolaire's arc would have Cormoray at least partly on his good side (I don't think they are as easily brought to their side as Einfasen, and notably, old Lord Cormoray appears to possibly be into the Candescent Creed, though he could just be buttering up Yanessa here) and possibly even the halfling afterlife accessible in the way the Dying Fields and Faerie now are. I think one of the biggest things you need to be comfortable with as a GM is to be able to use both the carrot and stick, and now, House Cormoray has become much more complicated to deal with than it previously would have been, and Termina has a body. I think impressing upon people that taking well-considered risks will be rewarded and indecision or waffling or avoidance will come with consequences is the best way to ensure a strong story. But also, you don't want to punish really, because that also doesn't make a story, so you do a complication. So yeah if Bolaire seizes on Termina and follows that, I think it will do a ton for both the Sundered House political plotline and his own.
I also think that given the formula for the "sets" Pascard referenced that the Cloak needs to reconnect the afterlives - something that killed the god, something connected to its psychopomp or means of reaching that afterlife, something connected to its temple - Bolaire's knowledge of the weapons that killed the Shapers, and his general understanding of the history of the Shapers' War (and the Archanade as a resource for that) are going to be really important. I am hoping Mara will make that very, very explicit and Bolaire will lock in, because there's ample opportunities for him to do some very cool things if he actually does them.
BY THE WAY, if you're an aspiring writer, there's a great opportunity right now to get your work critiqued!
the Literary Auction for Change is a charity event raising money to help underrepresented groups enter the world of publishing. specifically, they're offering fellowships and mentorship programs to marginalized people seeking to become literary agents (because how you can expect diversity in books if there's no diversity among agents?)
you can browse through the various packages on auction, and probably find something that would give you a boost. query letter critiques, manuscript critiques, videos calls with various agents, and also signed books, if you're more of a reader. take a look!
what character(s) do you associate with the person you reblogged this from?
"my life isn't a crime, I'm not one of those people -"
"you sure? new parameters for Those People just dropped. check again."
And if you truly cannot imagine this, if you're convinced that it will never happen to you, consider this one thing.
Would you want scammers to know the state of your loved one's dementia?
it’s funny bc I think I have a lot to learn, with blindspots that I’m still trying to fill in by reading more and talking to people etc, but when I’m hanging around certain family members I suddenly become The Wokest Person Alive just by merit of having made some attempt to not be shitty. and this isn’t level 3 discourse like “conflating submissiveness with a preference for bottoming is misogynistic”, it’s basic shit like “no, health is not a state of mind, and sick people are sick for reasons beyond bad attitude,” and “no, you should not loudly talk about how shocked you were that a Nigerian man was at grandma’s funeral,” and “please don’t say that about Jewish people,” and so on.
and usually they are willing to listen when I talk about this stuff, so there is a benefit to me being there, but holy crap is it a tonal shift going from online to real life.
