Ellie rolled her eyes. “I probably heard it before I got brought to this hell hole.” She didn’t even know what song it was, just that the tune was occupying her and giving her mind something to focus on. “You always walk down here in the cells? Seems kind of bleak when you have the entire manor.”
“Sometimes. I mean, some places I’m not allowed to go, but the Manor isn’t all that interesting. There’s the kitchen, and the living room, and some closets, and the ball room, and then, like, a ton of rooms and suites that belong to the Masters that I’m not allowed to go in,” She shrugged. “At least down here, there’s friendly people to talk to, you know?”
