DevBlog - Design Update

Hey there Dunk Deeper fans. This is Nick again with another update to keep your curiosity up as we fast approach the unveiling of first time gameplay footage, coming this Friday. We've already mentioned that you will be playing as Dwarves, but we haven't said different types of dwarven players will be available for your team. Let's get started. 

First up is the Gem Finder. This guy will be the main scorer of your team, receiving bonuses in the shooting stats, but will have decreased stats in defense. 

Next is the Ore Crusher. This massive teammate is good to keep on the field for defeinsive purposes. They should be played closer to your own hoop, as they can block shots and steal balls better than anyone else. They are not as offensive minded, so don't let them go up for shots too often. 

We also have the Coal Miner. These guys are the jack of all trades, masters of none. They are well rounded players, good at everything but they aren't great at anything. 

Wall Breakers are essential dunkers on the team. Anytime you need to go up and get two points with an almost guarantee of not being blocked, this guys will dunk it in.

Finally, we have the Beer Carriers. No, these aren't the Beer Boys of the team, they have a much more important purpose. These dwarves are perfect for passing the ball, reducing the chance that the ball will be stolen by the opponent. and taken back down the court.  

Well that's the five different types of dwarves you will have to choose from when playing Dunk Deeper. We can't wait for everyone to join us this Friday during our Twitch.com live stream, for the first ever gameplay footage of Dunk Deeper. Remember, this is real underground basketball.

DevBlog - From the Designer/GamePlay Programmer

Hey there, Dunk Deeper fans. This is Nick with an inside look at DelveDeeper's gameplay and how it works exactly. Recently, I've been working on the improvements for the offensive positions, so I figure I'd talk about that. There are different types of dwarves, which I can't spoil, but these types of dwarves will each work differently on the offense. Some will be better at shooting the ball, while others are more skills in passing. So how does this come into play during a match? Well, as the Player you will be able to move teammates to different parts of the field and set them up to make the different shots. And wouldn't that be great if you took an opposing player with you, too? I'll leave the rest for you to imagine, Dunk Deeper fans. Our in-depth look at gameplay, complete with video, will be out this Friday at 7pm EST, through a Twitch.tv livestream. 

Remember, this is real underground basketball. Pass the rock.
