         since when has it ever been fair? day in and day out, much of the same. They greet and they scorn - simply for existing. It’s never been any different. In fact, the change of pace comes from the quiet of it all. Rather than knives and rotten fruits, a quieter disposition is presented. Fear veiled within indifference. They may hate her, but at least they’re quiet about it. More than she could have hoped for before. 

          ‘ let’s keep it that way then, yeah?  wastin’ everyone’s fuckin’ time tryin’ to teach em anythin’ else. ‘  always the pragmatic one , he was. kindness within cruelty, but rarely ever the latter to those he held dear.  it was astonishing to her that he had ever considered her something closer.  friends.  allies.  more than a weapon at the end of the day.  annoying little shit.
