Seeing the boy flinch, Ginger quickly took her hand back. She was willing to help the boy, she’d raise him if she was given the opportunity. She just wanted to better his life, give him things she knew he damn well deserved. “If you do decide to come with me, I’ll promise you now that none of the Twilights in the guild will hurt you or even come close to mess with you. You have my word.” Ginger kept her promises. She’d have to do a lot of persuading with Gina, but she would make it work. “In the end, this is all your choice. I’m not holding you against your will, nor am I forcing you to do this.” She slowly stood back up. “If you need a while to think over it, I can give you that. But I’m trusting that you won’t abuse this opportunity.” Ginger was terrified to being the boy back. Could she trust him? Was he just using this facade to get to the guild so he could take everyone out? Even so, she was willing to help the boy, if he indeed truly wanted it.
Ruby eyes watched the other take her hand back from his head. He could feel the lock he had on his desires break, and tears came to his eyes, a few sliding down his pale cheeks. “Why?” He asked softly, unaware of the tears falling as he stared up at the Twilight. “Why do you want to....why are you willing to fix me?” Mikhail asked, his voice soft and innocent like a child’s instead of his usual playful tone. How many years had it been since he felt like he was actually wanted, like someone actually cared about him? If Ginger could give all that to him, he would join her, although the Corisca family and all the hunters would probably give them a rough time during the whole deal.
