If someone wanted to re-app a character they had previously dropped, would the time the character spent in ephemeron before they were dropped be retconned?

OOPS shouldve specified in that last ask - it's Squid & I was asking in case I ever had the chance to join back in and re-apped old characters. Sorry for sounding so blunt!
