I…I don’t have any words. Really I don’t. The sheer amount of pain I feel in my heart is overwhelming. I’m scared. Scared for the future. Scared for my friends. I said a prayer when I woke up and saw this. I found myself wondering if my great grandparents…who fled from the Nazis and fled from Communism…if this what they thought they’d be leaving their children to…and their children’s children…and their future generation. This isn’t what they meant to happen. They ran so that we could have a better life and now.

Is this really what they wanted for us?
