Well, perhaps I should make an introductory post about myself.
Hello! I am Epicness1000. I am an artist and a writer who aspires to one day be a well-respected and notorious author– yes, I'm aware it's going to be difficult, but that's kind of the point of having a dream.
I will be sharing my art here, occasionally rambling about my stories, posting/reblogging about interests and so on.
I have many special interests, largely dinosaurs, veganism/animal rights, old video games from the 90s/early 2000s, and Sephiroth. Yes. The main antagonist of Final Fantasy VII is my special interest, as well as the game itself.
I am very passionate about veganism and animal rights– when I say I oppose animal exploitation, I mean it. I make this clear right here and now as people are way too comfortable being openly anti-vegan on this site. Do note, however, that this is not a DNI.
If you're interested in talking, don't be shy! The likelihood of me biting you is relatively low.
Under the 'read more' section, I go into my interests with more detail and set out the current projects I am working on.
INTERESTS (but detailed)

The art of storytelling (films, games, books etc)

On that note, SEPHIROTH!!!! He is my comfort character, I find him deeply relatable and he's my fav.

Undertale/Deltarune
Honkai: Star Rail (I dislike the game itself but I am very fond of Dr Ratio! My other comfort character. Also Sampo!)

CURRENT PROJECT: Deicide
A very angry velociraptor decides to kill all the Gods.
On a more serious note: In a primordial world where mortals and Gods live in conflict with wretches (strange, twisted individuals that must be eradicated), a wretch named Dune is betrayed and left for dead by the Gods. Filled with all-consuming rage, and blinded by her ambition to create a better world, Dune sees no choice but to hunt down and kill the Gods that currently rule over it.
A big redux of a story named Regicide, which I wrote when I was 16!
Project on Hiatus: Liberation
Set a century or two in the future, mega-corporation Genesis creates genetically engineered organisms to serve humanity for whatever purpose is decided for them.
This is the fourth version of the story– the first being developed when I was 15! And yes, it's an allegory on animal rights.
PROJECT IDEAS
Untitled Science-Fantasy
A massive story featuring a pacifist protagonist, Ghost, who has premonitions of the impending end of the universe– and its link to an ancient alien horror that threatens to be its cause.
The 'ancient alien horror' is based off my sona, Syn!
In an ancient Mongolian desert, a male Shri rapax chases a small lizard across the sand. He fails to notice that he has strayed too close towards a territorial Velociraptor mongoliensis, a large female willing to confront him despite the Shri being a stockier animal. Such ferocious clashes are not uncommon between the two species...
I'm studying so much for exams rn I barely have time to draw, and I feel like my drawing ability's deteriorated a bit, but I tried to use a new method to paint up a Sephiroth :3
Watching Dr. Kathleen Kellett's videos makes me appreciate how hard Square Enix went in subverting stereotypical ideas about monstrosity. None of the bio-engineered characters had an inherently bad nature. Angeal couldn't accept himself. Genesis just wanted to survive. Sephiroth broke down after a lifetime of abuse and isolation. Like, this narrative really went "yeah, these guys were all engineered from biological material sourced from a planet-eating alien, but that's not actually what's wrong with them. It's the way they were treated that messed them up and put them in these horrible places."
Meet Epicness1000, one of our Writers! Sephiroth's extremely relatable for her, always having a thing for lonely, monstrous beings, as well as villains– the epitome of what she loves to see in a fictional character!
