Waiting for Books
Hey writing community!
Are there any books you can't wait a second longer for? Can you think of a time you waited so long for a book to release, and spent all day reading it?

Being on Submission
Hi readers and writers!
My agent and I are currently on submission with my manuscript.
Have you ever been on submission before? What was the experience like for you? What were your favorite or least favorite parts of the submission process?
Spring is Almost Here...
I for one am certainly happier in sunnier weather. I like to spend more time outside once it starts to get warmer out. Sometimes, I'll even try to find a spot outside to write or edit. Do you feel happier in the warmer weather? Do you incorporate the springtime into your writing routine?
Happy Valentine’s Day!
What's a book that you're in love with, today and every day?
For the Love of Libraries
One of my favorite places in the world is the New York Public Library. What are some favorite memories that you have had in a library?
Happy New Year!
What are some of your writing resolutions in 2020?
Happy Holidays!
Do you write holiday-themed stories during the most wonderful time of the year? Or do you take inspiration from the snowy weather? For me, I tend to take inspiration from the weather around me.
How do you celebrate this season?
Happy holidays, writers!

Writing at Certain Times of Day
For me, sometimes I can write at any time, whenever I have a free moment to sit down with my laptop in front of me. Other times I have to block out a chunk of hours in a day, starting in the morning.
What about you? When do you like to write?
Character Introduction
Hello, readers! Today I want to introduce my original characters to you. As work on my manuscript continues, I will be able to tell you more about them and their story. For now, though, I want to start off with a sort of ice-breaker: I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I thought it might be a fun introduction to sort my original characters into houses! As first impressions go, I think that would be a good place to start. Okay, here we go! - Teddi, our protagonist, is 100% Gryffindor - Scarlett, the other side of Teddi's coin, is fittingly 100% Slytherin - Henry is our first member of Hufflepuff - Bonnie is also a Hufflepuff - Mozelle is our third Hufflepuff in a row - Elena is a Ravenclaw through and through - Thomas is a fourth member of Hufflepuff - Heath is a Slytherin - Thea is a Gryffindor - Volpone is lands on the Slytherin side of things - Micheala is a Ravenclaw
- And, of course, Dash is a Gryffindor
Who are these characters? Stay tuned!
Great to Meet You!
Hello! I'm a new writer-blogger and decided it was finally time to write my first post!
My name is Erica and I absolutely love to write. I studied English and creative writing in school, and now am pursing my author dreams. Though I am open to anything, I mostly like to write middle grade fantasy. I also love to read, and especially love to read middle grade and children's fantasy, along with some classics, adult contemporary, and even romance thrown in.
My first manuscript, a middle grade fantasy, is currently in progress. While it is being worked on, I hope to get this blog off the ground! I plan to write about writing, reading, some of my favorite books and favorite writers, and anything else in between. I would also love to answer questions relating to these areas, and maybe even collaborate with some of my writer friends!
