I have not struggled with to much on the revisions. Most of them were easy fixes. The only thing I have struggled with was making a stronger thesis. Ms. Dieterich said that it was strong but it could go further, so that is what I am working on right now.
CSW Response
I thought the CSW was a cool way for students to transform their run of the mill research papers into a different, creative new genre. The only negative thing I have to say about the CSW was the fact that it was at least 100° in there which made it a little difficult to enjoy it fully, but other than that I thought the CSW was a good experience and I’m glad to have been apart of it.
I also liked that everyone could see everyone's genre transformations. We were all for the most part in english 121 so it was easy to make connections with the other students

My CSW experience was hot. The room kept getting hotter and hotter. But beside the hotness, I thought it was a cool thing to do. I talk to people that I have not talked to before. Everyone that I saw just glanced at our projects and walked away. I kind of felt like I did not need to be there but it was fun for the half hour I was there.

I really liked what one of you guys said about the United States map. I think that would be a really cool idea. I think we should mark where we are all from. And the map of the united states is probably too big to make so if maybe we did just the states that we are all from and then star where our hometowns are.

CSW Idea
At our table, we should have a map of the United STates or a the midwest along with TN. This is to get the guests familiar with the places they are about to hear or learn about at our table.
I like your idea, its sounds a lot like something that I came up with. Since more than one person come up with the same idea for something that must mean it’s a good idea. (:
i actually really like this idea. We should all star where we are from. so like you said people are familiar with where about in the united states we are from.

Research Paper
A source I used is http://www.drugabuse.gov/publications/drugfacts/high-school-youth-trends . I chose this source because the information seems to be true because it states statistics. I do agree with the information in this source because their are facts presented.
That’s a good reason to agree with the source, since it’s facts are proven to be true.
This source should be very useful for your paper because there are statistics you can use to prove your point
I used this website, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hanover-Horton_High_School, as a source in my paper. Even through it’s a Wikipedia website I found the information on it was useful for my research plus the information seem to be creditable.

I completely agree that Wikipedia was a good source for the research that we had to conduct for the paper. We both seem to have found research that is relevant and useful for our papers, and things that we plan on including in our paper. Good luck on writing your paper :)

I like to use Wikipedia also. The only this I have trouble about is taking the time to look at where the information came from that is one Wikipedia. If I were you I would look into the sources that are connected to Wikipedia's information.
Valuable Source
I am working on my valuable source right now. I have emailed the owner of Janelles restaurant and his wife. I am trying to figure out what their side of the story is about the fire. I emailed them awhile go and have not gotten a response. This source would be great for my project because I could get more sides of the story instead of just one.

Thesis
If buildings in Byron are not restored from after the fire, the town could be abandoned. I don't know about this thesis. This sentence has not been fully revised. But input from all you guys would be very helpful
Thesis statement
I think I came up with a good thesis statement but I know I’m going to have a hard time forming my introduction paragraph.
My thesis statement is: If we stop high school dropouts it will decrease drug related crime on the East side of Detroit.
This is a good one. It gets right to the point and clearly shows your stance on the topic.
I agree. I wish I could be quick and simple with my thesis. Mine seems to always comes to be a run on sentence.
My research question by the way.. are zoo’s (or toledo zoo) beneficial to society/communities. there are obvious answers to this question but finding what people have to say about it.. not so much.
I love zoo’s! I have been to the Toledo zoo so many times, I am not from Toledo...
I like zoo's also. I have never been to the Toledo zoo. I am guessing zoo's are expensive to keep clean. So, are the zoo's getting enough money from costumers or are they losing money. If they aren't getting enough money and are in debt then obviously it is not beneficial to the community. But, if they are making a big profit then yes I would say it is beneficial.
I have to say I’m having a hard time with my research for my project. I went to the library multiple times but I can only find the same information that I have found from other sources. I was hopeing to find a journal or some newspaper articles about the time, but my home town library dose not…
It makes me a little more at ease to read this to be honest! Because I had a very similar problem this break in not being able to find all the information I would have liked to find. Hopefully our luck changes!
I have also had this problem. All of the articles that I find seem to be repeating themselves. I wanted to find the actual newspaper article that was in my hand about my subject but no one that I know has kept this article that I am looking for.
Update
My research project is going well. The only problem I am running into, is not finding enough information on the subject. If anyone has any suggestions I will gladly take them. So my project is on the fire that happened in my town. I have found information on the insurance company and what the community thinks about what has happened. But, I can't seem to find any information on what actually happened... I don't know if the problem was ever figured out.
