Nothing good happens after 2AM
Can’t sleep because of stupid caffeine. I’m kind of wondering what the hell I was thinking when I drank a large cup of coffee. Oh well, the damage has been done. Here I am, typing some useless blog about shit in life. Like seriously?
I've been thinking ‘bout life recently. That kind of soul-searching thing. I admit, I’m kind of beating around the bush regarding my current life. I’m happy, sure. But am I contented? What’s the difference? Happiness vs. Contentment. I try not to think too hard about it because really, nothing good happens when I do. Does it matter? I don’t think so. --- is what I tell myself.
I talked to someone recently about my past life. Well, he insisted I talk about what happened in my life. After I told him, he said that I’m broken. I’m a broken girl trying to look strong in front of everyone. And indeed, I am. People always judge me, saying that I’m an insensitive girl because of what I did. But people only believe in what they see. People judge a book by its cover. They never bother to know what really happened. And I’ll never let them know what it did to me. I’ll never show them how broken I am. The perfect mask isn't a poker face, but rather a smiling face. A smiling face that can hide the saddest emotions.
I pretend to be happy, even force myself to be happy. I’m ‘happy’ but there’s still something missing. What does it mean to be happy? What is happiness? Have you ever wondered what it feels to be happy? How can you be sure that you’re truly happy? These questions that I’m most afraid to ask myself because I can’t find the answers. I want to be truly happy. Happy and contented. God knows I've been searching for it for a long time now.
See? This is why I don’t want to think about my shitty life. It gives me more questions but no answers. I’m happy with the person I’m with right now. He gives me his world, everything that he is. But, I don’t want his everything. I want him to make me feel. The feeling of being alive and being in love. The feelings that I lost in my past. I don’t need to be happy. I need to feel. I need him to tear down the walls that I built around my heart. I want to feel vulnerable, to feel protected, to feel that he can be my everything. I want to believe that he can do it. I need to believe in him.
To believe in him, to believe in myself,
To believe in us.
