Anyone else notice these blooms popping up in the Helminth room?

I noticed one after Old Peace, then another... and another...

...guessing Helminth knows what the f is about to go down in Tau and is preparing for something.

...that checks out, I did subsume a few.

But wow, that... makes this more interesting... like... does this mean Sentients break free from the hive mind... because they consume the energy found in warframes... extracted by... a hive mind??!?!!? ...or these blooms are very different from Tau blooms, but still - fascinating!

...just realized, the Tau quest will be the first time Wally takes on the Drifter's appearance.

Now I'm even more excited, I wanna see my Drifter hold baby bug Lotus.

Obviously, Drifter technically did the same trade as Operator back in the Zariman (hence the "I never said I'd save YOU, kiddo" slate in Duviri)

and we've seen Wally take on the appearance of Albrecht and Loid. I don't remember either having made a deal with Wally, so correct me if I'm wrong.

I got the impression that he takes the appearance of people he's had direct encounters with.

But for the sake of this fascinating scenario, let's say Drifter did make a deal with Wally before this happened...

...heh, my theory is they traded their memory of a bunch of loops in 1999 in exchange for Wally to behave and not mess with the Hex while they're off on their mission to Tau.

I was analyzing why Brysko's design to me feels so similar to Adis so I made a... graph? a collage? whatever

firstly it's the 'beak' shape. this kind of face is not exclusive to Adis - Dactolyst and even Hunhow have a cat-like 'muzzle', but in terms of details like slits on the sides Brysko looks much more similar to Adis than to any other Sentient. Also, what is exclusive to Adis is his 'eyebrows', which Brysko also has. There's also some kind of 'halo' at the back of his head. The Hunra, while lacking any face resemblance, clearly has Adis eyes though.

The middle part of the body of Adis has a diamond shape and shapes his light into an elongated star. The Hunra, while obviously having deformed body of original Adis inside his big shell, lacks the light - it was given to the Operator, or taken by them if the case is Wally not only messing with people's brains, but actively embodying alternative possibilities like they did in JSC. But the star motif is present in Brysko's design, the glowing part in the middle of his chest is also shaped like elongated star.

If this resemblance is intentional and Brysko's face features are indeed supposed to be parts of Adis that Hunra lacks, I wonder if Adis was somehow taken apart O_o

Mommy Stuff

Bit of context:

In Progeny of a Paradox, Fiona was struggling to tell Arthur she was pregnant because of his opinion about being a dad, and Wally made it worse by making her fear all kinds of bad stuff.

Now, pretend Wally dropped that for a while to focus on the events of Jade Shadows 2 and get really disappointed with the happy ending.

Going back to 1999, he's disappointed again. :D

Can't wait to meet Brysko... I imagine it might go something like this. ...Albrecht better be careful, Operator recently unlocked her Tauron Strikes. lol

Rose would definitely make jokes about Arturos being Arthur Jr. Given how Albrecht built that vessel using Arthur's DNA.

Well... with my most recent fanfic, Progeny of a Paradox, Arturos has a "baby brother" now.

But in all seriousness, I'm a shameless lover of domestic fluff, which includes unplanned pregnancies with happy endings.

This is just the start, however, as I have a sequel planned, and lots of ideas for art.

Mama and her boys

So I was working on a comic when the first panel got so nicely detailed... I had to make it a separate piece and color it.

Love Jade Shadows 2 and am having a lot of fun playing with the boys!

it's so interesting that the drifter has been put into this role as Lotus' protector given yknow, her Mom status to the operator. i don't really have anything smart to say about it i just find it an unexpected subversion of her and the operator's relationship

Lotus is the single mom who gave everything to keep Operator safe and happy, keeping some things from them so they wouldn't have to worry about her. Because despite everything, they're still a child.

And now, Drifter is the adult who has the maturity and strength needed to calmly focus on returning the favor.

We love Space Mom.

How I imagine the "brothers" met.

Orion: Who are you? Sirius: I'm you... but chosen. Orion: ... Sirius: ... Orion: I'm you but better. Sirius: ...*draws weapon* prove it.

I love that it's now confirmed that Drifter literally jumped into the Helminth's mouth to get to 1999.

I main Umbra with both Operator and Drifter, and up until now, I just pretended Operator let him stay with Drifter.

...well, now I can say he's being passed back and forth like custody exchange, at the cost of getting very familiar with the Helminth's mouth!! XD

After Jade Shadows 2 (SPOILERS)

Operator: *yawn* ...Ordis, status update. Ordis: Nothing to report! Nope! Everything has been so peaceful while you were napping! Operator: *spots a Stalker poster Ordis missed* ...what is that? Ordis: Oh? Oh! Don't worry, just passed the time with some art! Did you sleep well? Operator: Ordis. Ordis: ... ... ... Oh fine, Hunhow did send you a message, so I suppose I can tell you now. ...Stalker came by to get help from Umbra to deal with Sirius and Orion, who were locked in an eternal battle. Operator: ... Ordis: ... Operator: Sirius... AND Orion??? Ordis: ...yes. There are four of them now: two babies, two adults. Oh, and Hunhow sacrificed his memories to give them and Stalker a peaceful home. ...where you can also entertain Hunhow by joining the fight between Sirius' mentor and Orion's girlfriend. Operator: ...WHAT?!?!
